Hunger Games Date Night

On Friday night, Cayce and I had an at home date night. We had tacos and watched The Hunger Games and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Tonight, we are going to go to the drive in to watch The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 1. I'm exicted and Cayce is somewhat excited, but he is enjoying making fun of me. WHATEVER!!!!

Ariana Letter Curriculum: Week 5

On Monday, we had a late day. She didn't get a read aloud because the library system here is screwing up our requests big time. It's exhausting. This is her last week before her break next week, and I am kind of glad because I need to get her books in order for the library.

On Tuesday, we did a read aloud of a chapter book. She enjoyed it because it was fairies. She loved the music because it had a song from Dumbo.

On Wednesday, we all had tempers and our modd towards one another was tense. She didn't want to say her theme words, She didn't want to do her sign language. The only thing she did do was the workbook, and after that, she left quickly. I did get a smile out of her when I bribed her with some M&M's I had hidden in my desk cabinet. My kids are food junkies.

On Thursday, we did our music and read aloud with Samantha again. We were going to do science with Samantha but decided to do that alone..

On Friday, we finished the chapter book and did music again with Sammy. We did theme words multiple times, and said the poem together.

Kindergarten: Week 15

On Monday, it was an extremely LONG day and we didn't do much, we spent so much time on Life Skills. We cleaned alot. That's what she wanted to do for a while until she got tired and but we got the basics done and that's pretty much all that matters.

On Tuesday, we started reading a chapter book. It's Fira and the Full Moon. It's a Disney Fairies book. We read 3 chapters, and the girls were really into it. I didn't take many pictures. We also started out Thanksgiving unit today with a trip to the library to read some Thanksgiving books and came home to some coloring pages.

On Wednesday, we had an early day because I woke up to my power coming back on and appliances beeping. Apparently, sometime in the middle of the night, the cold weather knocked out power once again. I had to get up to make sure our pipes weren't frozen and ended up being in a mood all day. But, we had a good day of school. We built a robot and we had quiet time today. While Sammy was looking at her LEGO magazines and she wanted me to look at them with her, and I ended up napping for 10 minutes.

we made a thanksgiving banner. 

this one is on Adalyn's door. The other is on Sammy and Airy's.

On Thursday, I didn't take many pictures. We had a quiet morning and did our regular work. She did some Thanksgiving worksheets, and we also started on our 2nd banner that was hung up in their room.

On Friday, we started the day off finishing the 2nd banner. All Sammy did was cut the shapes out and she chose the color of the yarn. I put it together and hung it up. We also read 3 Thanksgiving books.

After we did that, we went through our regular routine. We did music and we finished our chapter book.
