Kindergarten: Week 3

This week we got our routine down a lot more and we actually had more fun and no longer school this week. I wanted to start spelling with her this week, but quickly put that idea on the backburner. I have figured out when I want to start addition with her and I am going to start that at the end of September, because what I have planned for her on Halloween involves adding. Now picture time.

Here is another Monsters vs. Aliens workshop. This one was fairly simple I think. All they have to do is hold the stick on the back and make the robot move, like a puppet.

Kindergarten: Week 2

This week flew by. We are still getting into a rhythm and we only had ONE meltdown this week and that was when Sammy didn't want to do her little PE video. Whatever, she did it anyways, but she wasn't happy about it.

This was on National Aviation day and I made her a paper airplane. Who doesn't love paper airplanes.

Learning about different types of weather

she wanted to use her do a dot markers, so I found some worksheets for her and she went to town.

I give her puzzle time almost every day or every other day. I believe it helps with brain functions and all that.

 

I didn't really take that many pictures because we were so focused on getting a routine down pat. I will hopefully take more pictures next week.

Healing Springs/ Kindergarten Photo Shoot

This afternoon, Cayce and I took the girls down to Healing Springs. We go there every once in a while to get the healing water and to visit Blackville. We just made a trip to the springs because of the bugs and the time. I also decided to get Samantha to do a kindergarten photo shoot down there because the area is beautiful. Here are some of the photos I took after we got about 4 gallons of water.

Kindergarten: Week 1

Samantha had a great first week of kindergarten. The first day, I went crazy with pictures and made a video. She was so excited and my mom and brother were checking in and commenting on her pictures. By the end of this week, I was absolutely exhausted. I have to have 4 and a half hours of instruction planned for her everyday, and the first few days it was difficult, but we made it. She already has 5 days under her belt, whereas our school district doesn't start back until next Tuesday. I know we just started but I am already looking forward to her first day off which will be September 11th. I am not giving her labor day off, I rather give her a day off to talk about what happened and discuss it to the best of my ability so she doesn't freak.

Ok, picture time. I will try to get the video on here. I'm still working on trying to get my baseball videos uploaded. Not tech savvy. The pictures are not in order because of my stupid phone.

I am planning on her wearing her class shirt every year on the first day of school.

She decided not to wear a dress that day, so I let her watch a little PE video to let her jump and buck around and she LOVED IT.
