Cayce's 26th Birthday

On Sunday, my hubby turned 26. We now have a standing joke between us that we are now closer to 50. Last year on his birthday, I joked saying that he was halfway to 50, and we have laughed about it ever since. I love this man to pieces. Staring back in April, I started collecting and buying his presents. Some of his presents were featured in previous freebie hauls, I just don't remember which ones. And the rest of his presents were bought.

I was out of patience to wait for midnight to give him his gifts, so I gave them to him 3 hours early. HE LOVED EVERYTHING and he showed his love the next morning... TMI!!! The hat, body wash, body spray were free. The other free items that I had for him are gone. Have no idea where they went. He knows about them, and said that if we find them, just give them to him on Father's day.

The items I bought were the Effie Trinket pop, the purple AUX cord came with two other cords that are being used, and I got him a new battery for his drill which is not being sold anymore and that was only 1 of 2 that they had left on Amazon. So I am hoping that I will be able to buy the 2nd one soon and give that one on Father's day or keep it till Christmas.. idk.

After our fantastic morning, he took the kids to Target and I was home alone to clean up and bake his cake that the kids picked out for him and cook breakfast. I only made grits with grape jelly (YUM) and he made him some jalapeno eggs. Yes, he cooked his own birthday breakfast.

The girls picked out the frosting and Cayce picked out the type of cake he wanted. He chose a white cake and the girls got him purple frosting with pink sprinkles. The pink sprinkles were supposed to go on Samantha's cake last month, but Cayce switched the toppings. And then we didn't have a 6 candle to go with our 2 candle. I am just going to go buy every number candle in a style I like and toss the ones I have and call it done. I couldn't even find my question mark candle that I love.

So we used previous cake toppers that were cleaned from the previous cake they were on.

Cayce didn't care what it looked like. As I am writing this, this cake is gone. It was that delicious with some milk!!!

This is why it went so quickly because he sliced the cake into portions to grab and go, now it crumbs and gone.

The rest of the day, we just played Fall Out 4, took a nap while the kids were in their room playing a video game and napping themselves, and then we had beef and pepper kabobs on the grill and baked potatoes for supper. And we ended the night by watching Divergent.

I could tell that he really enjoyed his birthday this year and he didn't have to work and he didn't get any calls to come into work, except one text but that was taken care of. Birthday 2016 was a SUCCESS!!!!!

Happy Memorial Day

I just want to say thanks to all those who have fought for this country and didn't make it home. I have so much respect for those that sacrifice their lives to keep all of us safe. Today, my family and I are remembering two others who have fought for us.

Cayce's grandfather who fought in the Korean War and died in a car accident shortly after coming home from war.

My pop who served in the Navy. I don't know if he was in any war or saw any fighting.

Happy 26th birthday to my main squeeze!!!! I still remember like it was yesterday that we were celebrating your 18th birthday on the last day of school. Your birthday is the 9th one we have shared together.. I love you sugar cookie.

You are an amazing husband and father to our kiddies and furbabies.

The cats and girls adore you and love you!

I love you to the point that I know that I can never live without you and that you are my rock.

Super Mom Vox Box from Influenster

As you all know, last Wednesday, I received my 4th Influenster vox box. This box is the Super Mom vox box and it might be my favorite one yet. Cayce said that this is his favorite so far because all the stuff I got, he is able to use as well.. the dish soap and sour cream.

Here is all the products that came in my box.

This box was a gray color. I was a little disappointed in the color because I figured they would design the boxes around the theme, but it did have inspirational mom quotes on the top of the box. I am going to be doing the same thing that I did in my Sample Source post.

1. Goody SlideProof Hair Elastics

This item was a bonus in the box. Only selected Influensters get bonus items and I am so ready to try these.

2. Suave Kids Purely Fun 3 in 1

This smelled so amazing when I took a whiff and I can't wait to use it on the girls. I love how they included the kids in this box. This also came with a Suave Moroccan Infusion Styling Oil that I will be using.

3. Pilot Acroball pens

I loved the Pilot brand pens. I was excited to get these because I admit that I am a pen hoarder. The pink pen has pink ink and the white and teal blue pen is black ink.

4. Mom card

The box came with a little mom card, so this box is obviously a mother's day box. I will be using this card next year to give to my mama.

5. Palmolive Fusion Clean dish detergent

I have already try this variety of this brand of dish soap and I wasn't a big fan of the scent. It got my dishes clean, but the scent smelled to industrial/ restaurant type smell.

6. Goody coupon redemption

 I received a $2.00 coupon for a Goody Clean Radiance hairbrush along with the elastics, and Cayce redeemed it for me today. I love the white and copper colors together.

7. Plackers Flossers

These are dual grip fruit smoothie swirl kid flossers and they came in a 3 pk. I think this was another favorite of mine because each of the girls can have their own placker out of this pack. I hope that they sell these in a variety or one specific fruit per package. I'll have to try these with the girls because they hate flossing... especially Addy!!

8. Secret Outlast Xtend Invisible Solid

I am not really a fan of the secret deodorant, I am more of a dove gal, but I do keep these in the car when we run errands and it is sweltering hot outside.

9. Daisy Sour Cream

The last item is a food item. The only time I eat sour cream is when I make Swedish meatballs or having baked potatoes. Influenster also gets another point in my book for this because this is the only brand of sour cream that I buy and eat....lol.

Chewbacca Lady!!!!

The first time I saw this I about died laughing. It is so hilariously funny.  It is one of those videos that people should watch if they are having a bad day and just need to laugh. When she said internet webs, I lost it!! LOL. If you haven't seen this... WATCH IT!! It will make you cry from laughing so hard.

Sample Source Box

Today I am going to be going through all the items that I got in the recent Sample Source box. Sample Source gives away boxes of freebies during the seasons. This is the second box I have received and I chose these samples during the winter months. I think its a quarterly freebie service. They do give out awesome samples.

By now, you all have seen this picture in last week's freebie haul. I am going to show you up close pictures of each item and give my little opinion.

I received a 75 cent off coupon, along with a 2.0 Fl. Oz bottle of Colgate Total daily repair. I am giving this to Cayce because he uses mouthwash more than I do, and I have a certain mouthwash that I use constantly.

2. Colgate Total Daily Repair Toothpaste

I received this toothpaste along with another 75 cent off coupon. This toothpaste will be going in the girls bathroom for them to use.

3. Chia Plus Coconut Chia Granola

In my very first box from Sample Source I got a bag of multi grain flax cereal, and it was delicious, but the smell was weird. I can't wait to try this in some yougurt. This is a 1.9 oz bag from Nature's Path Organic

4. Sundown Naturals Adult Multivitamin

 This is a pack of 2 gummy vitamins and it also came with a $2.00 off coupon.

5. Nature's Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails Gummie

Right now I am using the Vita Fusion hair, skin & nail gummies, and I hope that these will taste a little better than those. This also came with a $1.00 off coupon.

6. Garnier Fructis Curl Nourish System

This comes with the shampoo, conditioner, and curl stretch loosening pudding and a $1.00 off coupon

7. Breathe right Nasal Strips

These are quickly becoming a staple in our house. We don't just use it for night time. Cayce uses it during the day at work or after he is done doing yard work and I use them when I am sick and can't breathe.

8. Garnier Fructis Grow Strong shampoo & conditioner

I have been wanting to try this system from Garnier Fructis ever since it came out, and just haven't had time to go buy it, or I had hair products to use at the time, or simply couldn't go shopping. It came with a $1.00 off coupon that will be used if I like these samples.

9. Avalon Organics Intense Defense Skin creams

I have never heard of this brand but it comes with Cleansing Milk, Antioxidant Oil, and Sheer Moisture SPF 10. This didn't come with a coupon and I have no idea where you could buy this product from, so if any of you guys know, leave me a comment.
