Homeschool Preparations

My senior year of high school, I was pregnant with Samantha. I started thinking of her future and schooling. I wanted her to go to public school, but I also wanted resources at home to help her learn. I had a computer class, and one day we had a substitute teacher. I ditched my work and started browsing the internet for learning resources and found coloring pages that were useful. Letters, numbers, states, countries. I printed off every page I saw and took them back to our apartment, and started working on binders that would help our child grow.

I worked on the states first, and finished within 2 months. I was so proud of myself. After Samantha arrived, I got way behind on the alphabet, and never got back to it until 2 days ago. I have done so much. I am almost done with the alphabet and going to start on the numbers right away. The next one I'll be working on is the countries.

Adalyn will be 1 next Wednesday, and I have to get her tot school ready. Homeschool preparations are so tough and time consuming. It's hard to do when there are 3 little ones are running around.

I'll post pictures at a later date. I will be getting the ABC and number binder done this weekend.

Master Closet Nightmare

I CANNOT look into my master closet because it is a disater. Everything is just thrown in there, and now since I have possession over the whole thing, I know I'm going to have the tedious task of cleaning it up. UGH!!! I need to get in it, so I can organize my clothes and see what I can buy with my half of our tax refund. We still haven't filed yet because our tax accountant is slacking and being downright lazy.

I will upload a before picture of my closet when I finish organizing and cleaning it with an after pic. I just have so many projects on my plate as is, and I'm having panic attacks everyday that goes by and we haven't got our taxes done.

I am going to go to bed now. Hoping I'll have a better day, a more productive day tomorrow.

Prep. Curriculum: Week 20

This week's lesson was about balloons. The vocabulary word was helium.

On Monday, she colored two pictures of balloons and loved the zebra striped ones.

She doesn't understand the difference between regular balloons and hot air balloons just yet. I would like for her to see one in person one day.
On Tuesday, we didn't do any paper or sit down work. We went around pointing out everything orange.
On Wednesday, she did the letter T. When I told her the letter, she held out her sippy cup and asked for some "tea". It was so funny, and I had to explain to her that there was a letter T. Now, she knows the letter.

She did these two pages all on her own, and it made me so proud that I didn't have to help.
Since, she did so well on Wednesday, I gave her Thursday off.
On Friday, we did the number 20. Before we even started the lesson, she pointed out the number 2 right away. It made me even more proud. She is still having trouble counting the teen numbers, but she did 19 and 20 perfectly.

This week, she has it off. I am going to be reviewing numbers with her, and help her with number 13 and up.

Samantha's School Schedule

Samantha has 6 more weeks of this curriculum and I had to revise it again this morning. Her last day of this curriculum will be March 22.

After this curriculum, I'm going to review with her for a week or 2. Then I will start her letter of the week curriculum, so she can learn the alphabet better.

When Samantha starts her letter of the week curriculum, I am going to start Ariana on the prepatory curriculum. I'm going to take it real slow with her. During taxes, I'm going to buy some of the books that the curriculum lists.

Chore Day

After a long and frusturating night, I went to bed and sleep great. I don't know how, but I woke up at 10:30 this morning. It felt so great, and Cayce and I haven't argued once today. We did favors or one another and he is thinking about building me a book shlef to put under the bed because I want my books out of boxes. They have been in there TOO LONG!!

I have done two loads of dishes. I have no dishwasher, so I have to wash them by hand, and it is very draining and aggrevating. I have done 2 loads of laundry and not done yet. I put up Samantha's clothes and got clean sheets and blankets out for their beds. I'm waiting for miss Adalyn to wake up from her nap, so I can put up her clothes and get hangers out of her room for Ariana's clothes.

Cayce took the girls outside to let them play while he works on his sawbucks. I'm going to go out there in a little bit and help him paint them, and possibly rake a little bit. We are having tacos tonight for dinner and we are going to make some spaghetti for the freezer.

We are considering Swagbucks to be my job. I work so hard on it and I'm hoping that I won't get any tax thing in the mail.

I have to go now because Samantha is handing me my shoes.

Sad and Hurt

This morning started off ok. Cayce got up and cooked breakfast for us before he went to work. I got some chores done before he came to work and I did my nails, and put some perfume on for Cayce. I cooked lunch and did more laundry. We had a good lunch break together.

When he got home from work, I was making supper and he told me that he was going to go to the movies with Budd. I got so angry and upset that he didn't want to spend time with our family. I have cried so much tonight. I am feeling rejected and lonely. He wants me to do more stuff for me, but he doesn't understand that I am by myself with the kids 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, and I want to spend time with him.

It's getting to the point where I don't want to be in a relationship with him because I already feel alone and like a single parent. I have given up so much for the relationship, that I don't know where to go or what to do.

I haven't been able to get much of my cookbook done today. I want to go on some family outings this weekend so Cayce and I can become closer together for our kids. I don't want to drift further away from him.

I calculated my swagbucks orders from last year and I'm hoping that I haven't made over 600.00 dollars because if I did, Cayce will make me quit swagbucks. I don't want to because it is MY job!

I feel so controlled by him, and I don't have anymore friends. I lost my relationships with everyone the day I had Samantha, and I knew I would never get my friends back on graduation day.

I am going to go to bed now and hope that tomorrow will be better than today. I am going to go play coupon fairy tomorrow and get some more swagbucks.

Way Behind Schedule

I'm way behind schedule. Yesterday when we woke up, Cayce told me that he wanted me to stop doing Swagbucks. After everything I have gotten him, he wants me to quit. I voiced all of my opinions and then went outside with him and raked, while he took nails and staples out of plywood.

I felt so attacked when he told me that I didn't have a very good day. I didn't get what I wanted to do, done. So I had to push it back to today. I felt mini panic attacks throughout the day.

I got the toys sorted this morning, and I have to do dishes in a little bit. Cayce keeps bothering me to go outside with him, but it is just TOO cold.

My anxiety is on the low level this morning, and hope it stays this way.

Goals Met

I have been doing so much today. I finally got Samantha's and Ariana's clothes put away, and realized that I have to go through their toys and sort them, so I can get my blue tubs back so I can seperate baby clothes by winter and summer. I got some dishes washed, and I met my swagbucks goal early and still working on my personal goal. I got Sammy's school work caught up and ready to do more work tomorrow.

Cayce had to go finish helping my dad this morning and he finally got the plywood and metal so we can start working on expanding our building.

My goals for the rest of the night is to finish dishes.
Get a load of Cayce's pants in the washing machine.
Try to get the number and letter book in order so I can get it done within the next week or two.
Type two recipes up.

I have some goals for tomorrow that I will post in the morning.

Prep. Curriculum: Week 19

I'm sorry that I'm a day late with this post. We were over at my parent's house all day yesterday, and I didn't get everything done. Last week's theme was boats. The vocabulary word was sail.

On Monday, Samantha colored two boat or yacht coloring pages.

On Tuesday, we did triangles.

I gave Samantha the day off on Wednesday. On Thursday, we did the letter S. My dad works for a sign company and he made the girls signs of their first initials. Sammy has a huge S over her bed.

On Friday night, she did the number 19.

This week she is learning about ballons.

I Have To Have A Schedule

I realized today that for me to get through the day, I have to have hours and everything planned out, or I will have a panic or anxiety attack. For example, when I wake up, I automatically think of what I have to do that morning before Cayce goes to work, to keep my preoccupied, and not get bored, or I will get panicky. I have to check tv shows for my whole day to keep me busy while I'm doing my housework or work on the computer.

Today, I planned a trip to the mall. We went to bath and body works, and Budd came over today around 3:00. I have to keep telling myself my schedule over and over through the day.

Tomorrow, we are going to my parent's house to rake leaves so we can get money for my phone card. I will be working out also, and we will be eating dinner there too. That's all I have planned along with my swagbucks work and house work.

Great Weekend Coming!

Cayce and I had a disagreement this morning, but we will be having a fantastic weekend. Tomorrow night and Saturday night will be dedicated to my Ghost Adventures. On Saturday, I want to take the kids to the riverwalk and maybe edisto memorial gardens. We have some burning to do, and yard work. Budd is coming over on Saturday night to hang out and help Cayce watch the fire.

On Sunday, we are going to my parents house to rake their yard because my dad is going to get me my phone card. Adalyn's birthday present came in the mail yesterday. I was so excited. She is getting big too fast.

I have to go. I have some personal stuff to do and some house work.

Prep. Curriculum: Week 18

 This week's theme was about ears. The vocabulary word was noise. These pictures are out of order.

 Samantha did the letter R on Thursday. She did better than last week and paid attention

She did the number 18 on Wednesday. She got out of control on the first worksheet because I wasn't in the room while she was working on it. On Tuesday, the color was pink and that is her favorite color.

Productive and Tiring Day

Cayce woke me up so early this morning. I wasn't going to go with him to do the errands, but I didn't want to be left alone with the girls, doing housework. So, we did our shopping. We ended up coming back home an hour later and spent time outside because the weather was so nice. 77 degrees in January. It felt amazing. I just hope that we continue to have this nice weather, and also be this gorgeous on February 8th.

We came home and I looked on the Applebees website to see if they have lunch hours and dinner hours and found car side to go. So we called in our order and Cayce went and picked it up and paid the car insurance. We have been relaxing and playing all day.

I got two loads of dishes washed and working on the second load of clothes in the washing machine. I don't know what we are going to do tomorrow. We are going to Kmart to buy two DVD's for the girls. The Doc McStuffins movie and Jake and the Neverland Pirates movie. I want to take the kids to the park or the riverwalk, but it all depends on Cayce.

Well, I'm going to give the girls a little snack and get them ready for bed. I'm going to watch some more Ghost Adventures tonight. I really hope we go to the riverwalk tomorrow because I have never been and I think the kids will like it.

Good, But Not Great Week

This week has been unexplainable. I have been doing so much. I have decided that I'm going to do a memory jar for this year. I got an email that suggested it and it seems fun. Cayce and I are going to have a date day tomorrow. We are going to Applebees. I have been eating better this week and have some stomach issues and not feeling very well.

I am going to post our schedule for tomorrow. Well, not really a schedule, but what we have to get done tomorrow.

Pay car insuarance
Stop by food lion and buy 2 gallons of milk and coors light for Cayce
Stop by Advanced Auto Parts and buy (1) 5qt jug and (5) 1qt jugs oil
Stop by Burger King and buy 20pc chicken nuggets for Samantha and Ariana to eat at their granny and papa's.
Stop by Dollar General and buy 1 pack size 4 diapers and 2 packs of pull-ups, and 1 bottle dish detergent.

Then tomorrow afternoon, mine and cayce's afternoon dinner at Applebees.

I have to go do some cleaning now. We are having fried tilapia and some rice with black eyed peas for supper. I can't wait for the new episodes of Ghost Adventures and The Dead Files tonight.

Prep. Curriculum: Week 17 pictures

Prep. Curriculum: Week 17

This week was a bad one. Samantha didn't want to do her work, or pay attention. The theme was sheep and the vocabulary word was wool.

On Monday, she recited the word sheep and wool, and she colored two pictures.
On Tuesday, it was New Year's Day, so we gave her that day off.
On Wednesday, she had such a bad attitude the entire day, but colored her worksheets since she knew the shape we were studying
On Thursday, she had a better day, but didn't want to pay attention. We did the letter Q, she was messing up and not following the directions.
Friday, I decided to give her the day off and let her sulk about not being able to do school. We ended up doing the number 17 today when daddy was home. She did good, but didn't want to listen.

I have no idea where she is getting this bad attitude from but if she keeps it up, I'm not sure if I'm going to homeschool her. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day for her.

Slacking on my Blog Posts!

I'm sorry that I haven't posted in the last week. I have so much going on. We got our grocery shopping done this week. Which consumed my days getting lists and coupons organized while keepin the house clean, the kids and hubby happy. I have been working so hard on my swagbucks, and I was able to get Addy a birthday present. We have decided to take her to the zoo for her birthday. The zoo gives free Fridays in the month of January and February, so we are going to celebrate on the 8th.

The next few weeks, I'll be working on the girl's letter and number book and our cookbook.
I have to go now and upload the rest of Samantha's school pictures, so I can post that in an hour or two.

Hello 2013

It's 2013! The first two days have been busy.

Yesterday, we went to my parent's house to eat dinner, and the girls stuffed theirselves full. I pulled out a tooth yesterday that has been bothering me since Ariana was born. Yea, it was 3/4's of the way gone. Cayce and I got so full yesterday, that when we got home, we took a 3 hour nap and woke up around 6:00pm. I will never do that again, because I had a horrible night of sleep.

Today, we had to run some errands. We went to the dump, gas station, and the store to get some easy food for me to eat and some more formula for Addy. I'm so happy that this is the last month that we have to get formula for her. When we got home, Cayce had to leave for work. I got some chores done and personal stuff done. I have to do even more tomorrow, so I can relax this weekend and focus on our grocery shopping on Saturday.

I haven't started exercising yet, but will start this weekend. I plan on walking all around wal-mart on Saturday, and come home and do The Biggest Loser and Zumba on the wii.

Time for me to get some rest.
