Ariana Letter Curriculum: Week 13

Week 13, glad to see you go. I am seriously considering stopping and doing something completely different with her, but I keep telling myself that Sammy will be done with her school in May and then I can completely focus on Ariana and get her ready for Kindergarten in August.

Monday: We started the letter K this week. This is my letter and the girls know it well. She didn't have any problem writing this letter at all. I thought she would have had trouble like Sammy, but she didn't.

I had to listen to this song. Its my fave Disney movie.

On Tuesday, we listened to music and read of course. She was ready to do her workbook. She is really getting into her workbook and liking the writing part. So, I will definitely be working with her on that more.

On Wednesday, I gave her the day off. She wanted to watch Up with Samantha.
On Thursday, she got to do her school work early while Samantha was shopping with Cayce.

Unfortunately, we didn't finish the K week. I don't know why we didn't do school today or yesterday. But we will make it up. We always do.

Kindergarten: Week 25

Week 25 has come and gone. We had a normal school week. Definitely ready to go to bed after I post this. We had a lot of fun this week.

On Monday, we started around our normal time. Actually, we started at our normal time all week, except Wednesday where we started at 11:45. We did workbooks and reviewed our week 6 words.

doing good on her puzzle. she finished this one and started the one below.

On Tuesday, we did the usual things but we added a Disney show to the mix. I let her watch an episode of Octonauts. It was a humpback whales and remipedes. The kids love that show. She also had her spelling test too.
she loves adding

On Wednesday, the only thing we did different today was watch the movie Up, and I always do the movies at the end of the day.
she knew instantly what this was because I am a baseball freak and take every chance I get to talk about the sport.

did very well. better than the previous.

On Thursday, she did her basics and then she went shopping with her daddy for a little project she wanted to do that she found in one of her LEGO magazines. It was a tiki umbrella project. She ended up doing it on Friday, because she was wore slap out from searching for the right materials.
This is the only picture I got from the day. She is doing so good on this puzzle.

On Friday, she was eager to get to her project. But I made her wait till the end of the day and when Cayce got home.

watching some Ghost Adventures until I got everything else ready for her to do.

Chilling it with Missy

The Secret Servant Review

When I started this book, I had planned to read it in a week. This was back in October and I finished this book yesterday. I couldn't go through with my goal because of family issues that are posted on here.

The book was a little confusing at first for me because I did not realize that these characters were already in other books of a series. But, once I got into more of it, it hooked me and I was a goner. Late nights were the only reason I put this book down, along with my daughters, but other than that, it was being read. It was so great how the author fused all these countries together and made a believable plot.

The author states at the back of the book, that this was a complete work of fiction, but I think that is you put this book into the non fiction section of a library or bookstore, people would be googling the hell out of it to see if it was true.

So  people of the blogging world, I highly suggest you read this book and the rest of the series like I plan to do soon.

The Defector

I have finally finished The Secret Servant. Even though I started reading it back in October. With everything going on, the length of time spent was disappointing. But, now I am done with it, and I could not put it down. I will be writing my review on it tomorrow.

The next book I will be reading is another one of Dan Silva's works.

Ariana Letter Curriculum: Week 12

It's review week for Ariana, and it's the perfect time to get caught up on all the work that we didn't do the past week, so that how we started off.

Monday:
We didn't get around to her school because we had such a late day and everything wasn't going right.

Tuesday:
We finally caught up on all her pages that she missed. It was alot, but we had fun with it.

yea, we had to start all the way at G and catch up.

On Wednesday, we finally got caught up on what we were supposed to be doing for the week, which was the review workbook.

On Thursday, I was sick and both of the girls had the day off. So that means Saturday lessons for Airy.

On Friday, she had the night off because we as a whole family had a busy day and she was in one of her moods and didn't want to do it.

On Saturday, we got back into the swing of things and she got her work done.

We worked on two letters yesterday, G & H.  Every time she colored one of the pictures, she would scream out the name. I have got to find a way to get her more interested in the letter. I might start doing fun things with her on the weekend that involves the letter that we are doing that week.

Today ( Sunday) we reviewed the letters I & J. Doing school, during the weekends is no fun and I am making it my goal not to do any sort of school next weekend because, I need some rest mentally. The pictures are kind of out of order.

she did her work in her nightgown and since it was Sunday and Sunday is meant to be a day of rest, we stayed in our night clothes all day. Lazy Sunday Funday with school mixed in.
