Home Depot Workshop: School House Bank

To make up for missing school on Friday, I counted Saturday's workshop as part of their school day. They had a orange workshop and they made school house banks. They had some major fun doing this workshop. They got to use screwdrivers along with hammers and they were excited to use something new. We actually have pictures from the workshop this time. I told Cayce he had to take pictures or I was going to hurt him. He took the bait to my threat.... :D

I don't have any pictures of the finished product. But I do have pictures of the instructions and their certificates. We immediately put their banks up in their room so they wouldn't get destroyed by Addy!

They have another orange workshop this Saturday. I don't know if they will like it or not. It's a holiday blocks kit. *shrugs*

Thanksgiving 2015

This year's Thanksgiving was a weird one. I was not in the mood to be celebrating anything. I was in a bad mood all morning and I didn't want to cook or finish decorating the tree. I was angry because my parents weren't coming over, and Cayce also had to leave early to go to work to help with Black Friday. So we started our "celebrations" on Wednesday night when Cayce got home from work and we started putting up the tree.

We got the colored lights on and fixing to head to bed. Isn't Addy adorable.

So, Cayce wanted to wake up super early and start cooking the turkey. Well, I didn't want to do that because I would be the only one getting up and doing it myself, since Cayce's argument was that he needed as much sleep as possible. I stayed in bed and started cooking around 9:30 instead of the 6:30 wake up call that I was demanded.

While Cayce was at work, I made a new tradition. We are going to watch The Wizard of Oz every Thanksgiving night.

I had to take this picture of the cowardly lion. He is my absolute favorite and I always laugh whenever he is on the screen.

Cayce had to be at work at 5:30 and he didn't get off till 3:30 on Friday morning. He got home around 5 and we were so exhausted. My mood was the same throughout the day. I am just not in the holiday spirit and it has been that way for years now.

Freebie Haul 11/23- 11/28

This was an amazing freebie week. I thought it was going to be a "crap" week like last week, but it was a lot better.

Monday: My mailbox was stuffed. Great start to the week. It was one of the hauls where I had to sit somethings on top of my box, on the ground in the dirt, and on the bricks, so I could stack and make it easier to carry inside.

Tuesday: Today, I didn't get that many freebies, but what I did get, is what I definitely needed.

I ran out of Lysol wipes in my kitchen a week ago and haven't been able to buy any, so this canister has been very helpful. I got to wiping down my counters as soon as I opened that box.

Wednesday: I got 3 freebies today. One was from IKEA that I requested MONTHS ago and I finally got it. We got another power bank that I am hesitant about.

Saturday: I only got two things in the mail today and they were freebies. I ordered some boxes from the post office, they were free, so they will be used and I ordered another pack today.
