Goodbye November

Well, November has been sort of eventful for our family. Cayce is still out of work but is doing light duty. I submitted Samantha's mid year progress report on Thanksgiving and it made our homeschooling experience that much more real.

The 2 date nights we had this month were well worth it and it really helped take our minds off our current situation and just relax and be together and be content to just sit a watch movies like we did when we first moved in together.

Cayce is rearranging everything in his building outside and making shelves and we are going through boxes finally that have been in our closet for the past 3 years.

We are looking forward to December. We are patiently waiting for Cayce's doctors appointment on the 17th and that will tell him if he can go back to work for good or not.

I have just got into reading The Secret Servant again. I read a good bit of it on Friday while Sammy was doing her quiet time. She wanted me to read with her. I know I won't get my reading list completed by the end of December, but I am going to try to get more books read.

Kindergarten: Week 16

On Monday, we started off with life skills (aka chores). Since Samantha wasn't home this weekend, chores went undone and the got messier than normal. So we spent a good hour or so just cleaning up rooms, and the kitchen and got some laundry started. We had a mostly workbook morning after that.

After we went over the letter for the week, we did some more Thanksgiving stuff. We did like 3 memory games and some do a dot pages.

She is looking through a Junie B Jones book that we read. She laughed and laughed and thought it was the most hilarious thing in the world.

On Tuesday, we worked on a bunch of Thanksgiving worksheets. We played different match games.

To end our day on Tuesday, we watched Nim's Island. That is the cutest little movie and I want my girls to have imaginations like that one day or come up with their own stories to benefit them.

On Wednesday, we started the day off with exercising. Cayce and I was cleaning the kitchen to get ready for Thanksgiving and we had our TV on a music station, and all 3 girls just started dancing, so I decided to call it their exercise and they danced for 30 minutes, and they broke a sweat. I didn't take many pictures because I was focused on getting her through her lessons and cleaning the house for the next day.

On Thursday, it was Thanksgiving. No School, but Samantha was talking away about turkeys and Indians. It was cute. I also submitted her mid year progress report. She has all A's in her subjects, so let's hope that she keeps it up and that we will learn a whole lot more before the year is out.

On Friday, I seriously thought about giving her the day off, but I didn't want her to get too comfortable and then ask why we aren't doing school. She hates having days off, but they are essential because I know that if she gets to overwhelmed by it, she will have a fit. She helped me with chores, because after our Thanksgiving, our house was a complete MESS!

 She finally finished her puzzle that she has been working on for the past 2 months Usually, she will fly through her puzzles and demand another one, but this one was all blue. It was aggrevating staring the blue color. I know it must have got to her for her to take as long as she did, so I am giving her a 2 month break from puzzles unless she ask to do another one.

After she finished her puzzle, we realized that we were missing two pieces. So, we are on the lookout. She did 2 crafts that involved the letter N.

After everything else, we ended the week with another Thanksgiving packet. In this packet, she worked on writing and cutting, and placing words. I love these kind of worksheets.

Thanksgiving 2014

Our Thanksgiving started off with Cayce having to work at the store. I would have had a fit, but with Cayce not being able to work because if his injury, we need the money. I made the kids cinnamon rolls for breakfast and we watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Hello Kitty

When i went to get all my pots and pans ready, I dropped a big pot on my big toe and now I am sporting a nice thin lined bruise across my toe, and that was the only injury that happened. The day before Thanksgiving, we were given a new Christmas tree that is already got lights on it. I hate those types of trees because it takes away from the decorating experience.

After the parade went off, Cayce came home from the store and we started watching Jeff Dunham on comedy central.

Around 3PM, all the food was done. So we called my parents and uncle over and we all had a great time and had a bunch of laughs.

I didn't get a picture of the turkey, because as soon as it was out of the oven, my dad was carving it. But it was delicious. After dinner, we started decorating the tree and watched some football.

At the end of the day, we ended up watching Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector and I ended up taking a nap on the couch.

I am part of a group on Facebook that's called GEORGIA FANS THAT SUPPORT MARK RICHT.  One of the people that posts alot of things for the dawgs and fans created this and it was to beautiful not to share with the rest of the world.

Drive In Date Night

On Sunday night, Cayce and I went to the Monetta Drive In to watch The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. I have been fangirling since Catching Fire released on DVD. The kids were with my parents. The most annoying part of the whole night, well, pretty much the whole day was the pouring down rain. My parents and Cayce kept asking me if we were still going to go, and if they would shut it down for the night. I said no, they won't shut it down and yes we are still going. We dropped the kids off and we were off on our merry way.

For the first time in my life, we were the first car in line. We got there at 5pm, and we didn't get onto the field until 6:45. The whole time we were waiting, the rains was constantly off and on.

When the movie finally started, it was pouring it's hardest, and we had the wipers going on fast. About 5 minutes into the movie, it slowed down and by the end of the movie, the rain had completely stopped.

The movie was fantastic. I cried on some parts, mostly Peeta's propos and I sang along with the hanging tree because I am that much of a geek. Cayce was constantly reminding me of toastbabies and the reminder was unneccesary.

I am already counting down the days for Mockingjay part 2.
