My Very First YouTube Video

I have posted my very first YouTube video today. I have been wanting to make my own videos for a while now. I want to talk about what I like and share my opinions on another platform along with this blog. The people I talk to on a day to day basis don't really share the same likes as me and so I feel like an idiot when I am talking about something and my friends and family are like huh...

My first video is all about my perfume collection. I have been thinking a long time now what would be my first video if I ever did decide, and I ran through all these possibilities and the one that I kept coming back to was my collection of perfumes and body sprays.

My Top 10 Favorite Movies

I haven't done a post all about me in a while, so I figured I would do a favorites post. Cayce has been building an entertainment center in the living room and it got me thinking about my favorite movies. I have a lot but these will always be my top dogs no matter what because they each have a special memory attached to them.

1. Forrest Gump

I have been watching this movie since I was 4 years old. This has always been a comfort movie for me. This also started my love for Tom Hanks before I learned that he was the voice of Woody in Toy Story.

2. Fried Green Tomatoes

This movie will always have a special place in my hear. Every time I would spend the night at my grandma's house, which was almost every weekend, we would watch this movie and it hasn't gotten old yet. When I found it on DVD, I snatched it up and that night when I got home, I made Cayce sit down and watch it and he absolutely LOVED it. It also started my love for Kathy Bates and my love for her grew in Titanic which is also a favorite on this list.

3. Titanic

This is another movie that I watched with my grandma and was instantly hooked. I was in second grade when this movie came out and my group of friends and I were in LOVE with Leonardo DiCaprio.

4. Fast Times at Ridgemont High

I first saw this movie when I was in high school and instantly loved it. It was so hilarious. Sean Penn was the funniest thing and at the time when my mom watched this with me one afternoon, I recognized Sean Penn because he was on an episode of Viva La Bam. Also Phoebe Cates was in Shag, which is my mom's favorite movie.

5. Dangerous Minds

I was really young when I watched this and my parents let me. I think this is what got me really into pop culture and to keep up with all the trends and how people are very different.

6. The Hunger Games Series

Like really, does this need an explanation.... NOPE!!

7. Bringing Down the House

Steve Martin and Queen Latifah are the perfect comedic pairing in my book. This movie was just so funny. Queen Latifah has always been a favorite of mine since I watched her in Set It Off when I was young. I realized I watched a lot of violent adult movies in my childhood. Steve Martin is just the man when it comes to laughing and when I need to watch a funny movie and just laugh and laugh, this is my go to.

8. The Last Holiday

Another Queen Latifah movie. I first watched this in high school and it helped my travel bug take root. She thought she only had a couple more weeks to live and she wanted to live out the rest of the weeks to the fullest. This movie helped inspire me to want to travel the world and go after what I want, which didn't happen.

9. A League of Their Own

This was the first baseball movie I watched after I started watching the Atlanta Braves when I was about 7 or 8. This is one of my parent's favorite movies. It so hilarious. Tom Hanks is the perfect sarcastic coach. Also Madonna and Rosie O' Donnell.

10. Never Been Kissed

I used to watch this movie constantly while I was in 4th grade. This movie helped grow my love for writing. I started writing stories in 4th grade and Josie made me want to be a journalist! Also Teacher Sam... goodness gracious.

The Planner Addict Tag

I have been wanting to do this tag for a while and figured it would be a good comeback post after a couple of days from the blogging world. I am having a hard time with time management and I have pushed this blog to the back burner until I can get our lives back on track. 20 Questions

I thought it was about time I do another questions video? I was watching a youtube video and it was a 20 questions tag video and I liked the questions and decided to post and answer them on here.


1. Thing you cannot leave the house without? I cannot leave the house without my phone. It is my lifeline. I have spent a lot of years without a phone and going places and being stuck for hours and having to use pay phones or a strangers cell phone.

2. Favorite brand of makeup? I don't wear that much makeup. But when I do, it's always covergirl or rimmel london. my nail polishes are revlon, essie, and milani. Those are my 3 favorite brands of nail polishes.

3. Favorite Flowers? White roses. I was never a big white rose fan. I thought they were plan, but The Hunger Games got me to like them because they are basically Katniss' kryptonite.

4. Fav clothing stores? I like TJ Maxx, Old Navy, Kohls, Once Upon a Child

5. Fav perfume? I am in love with J.Lo Miami Glo. I used to wear it all the time my freshman year of high school and I would pair it with the Victoria's Secret Love Spell. Amazing combo.

6. Heels or flats? I wear flats and sneakers. I only wear heels on special occasions.

7. Do you make good grades? I used to make good grades, but I am no longer a student.

8. Fav colors? My favorite colors are green, black and blood red

9. Do you drink energy drinks? Every now and then I drink them. My brother got me hooked on Rockstars when I was 15 and everytime he would stop by the house, he would bring me one.

10. Do you drink juice? Yes, I love white grape juice and orange juice with no pulp. Apple juice will always have a special place in my heart because after I got out of surgery for getting my tubes tied, that was the first thing I got to drink in 2 days and it was heavenly.

11. Do you like swimming? Yes, I swear I was born a fish. That is my spirit animal!

12. Do you eat fries with a fork? No, I eat my fries with my fingers like a normal person.

13. Whats your fav moisturizer? it's a toss- up between Dove and Jergens.

14. Do you want to get married later on in life? I did want to get married but after Cayce called off everything, I don't want to get married at all.

15. Do you get mad easily? Yes. I have no patience what so ever. My mom used to threaten to send me to anger management classes in my teen years.

16. Are you into ghost hunting? Yes. I love ghost hunting and watching ghost shows. my favorite is of course Ghost Adventures.

17 .Any phobias? not that I know of. I have cowardly moments when I don't want to do something, or be around something. I have real bad anxiety tho.

18. Do you bite your nails? I did when I was little and I would also take finger nail clippers and cut my nails down to the quick and make them bleed, but when I got to middle school, I just left them alone and I let them grow and grow until they broke and then I would cut them. I'm just to lazy to do anything about my nails.

19. Have you ever had a near death experience? NO, just nice naps from 2 surgeries.

20. Do you drink coffee? Yes, when I feel like making it. I am so lazy when it comes to making coffee for myself in the mornings. I don't even make breakfast because I am not a morning person and if I could have it my way, I would stay in my bed all day or probably until 1 or 2 in the afternoon.. now that would be kicking it old school for me.

Guilty Pleasure

Pringles have been a guilty pleasure for a few years now. Growing up, I hated Pringles. They tasted so weird. After I had Adalyn, all that changed. I was drawn in by the bright green canister and the first chip was instant food-gasm. Now, they are a staple.

Also, my hubby graced me with a Voss water the other night because he couldn't find my beloved Fiji water in the grocery store. Voss is my 2nd favorite and I won't drink any other water anymore.

Just wanted to share this little tidbit about me.

Happy 24th Birthday to Me

I am 24 years old today. It was better than I expected. I haven't been excited about it because of the stress our family is under and I am just happy to see another year of life. That's all I can be happy for and that my kids still have a roof over their heads and food on the table.

Cayce did make me breakfast of bananas, strawberries, and maple sausage links. Yumm.

I started my drinking right at midnight. I chugged this first bottle and the chocolates made it taste so much better.

after breakfast. 

my mom usually makes me a cake for my birthday. this is the second year in a row where I requested something different. last year, I got a peach cobble, this year I got Crown Royal Cookies. These things are so damn good. 

my mom knows me SO WELL!!!! she is feeding my obsession!

Ended my night with Cayce and this little beauty right here, who has quickly turned into a mommy's girl. We watched Inglorious Basterds. That movie was so hilarious.

"Sammy has her first day off from school today. I don't understand why kids are sent to school on this day. when I went, my teachers sure as hell didn't talk about what happened, they treated it like any other normal day. I told Sammy the best I could yesterday about what happened and this is her summary. bad men took planes and flew them into buildings and hurt a lot of people and that they were mean. I still remember that day like it was yesterday. I was in 5th grade and sitting in Ms. Bolen's homeroom class, and we not being told about it till 2:30 that afternoon. As long as I homeschool my kids, my kids will always have this day off and Cayce and I will not ignore it! NEVER FORGET! 9/11"



Tumblr Addict!!!!!

I have become a MAJOR Tumblr addict. I am only on there for my fangirl right to the things I love. I have so far 10 followers and I am following over 250 blogs. The thing I enjoy most about it, is the fan ficitons. HOLY CRAP. Sometimes, I think to myself, why do I still read published books, when I can read anything I want with the click of a few buttons.

I have been reading a lot of smut and listening to prince and it has definitely changed my life...lol. I'm not the only one though. Tumblr has definitely taken over much of my Facebook time and my friends on Tumblr ARE WAY more interesting than my real life friends on Facebook.
