Father's Day Workshop

On Saturday, the girls had a Home Depot workshop. They got to make little cell phone stands for Cayce. They look like trophies and they are adorable. I am glad that they got to make him something this year too.

They were both excited to be able to make Cayce something for Father's day and Cayce is getting good use out of them. Right when he got home, he drilled Ariana's project down to our desk in the living room and he drilled Sammy's project down to the top of our headboard.

Cayce uses Ariana's when we are all in the kitchen or living room.

These are so amazing and very useful!!! I hope Home Depot keeps coming up with more projects like this one.

Home Depot Workshop

Every month on the first Saturday, Home Depot has their kids workshops. This month, it was held on the 7th and it was Angry Birds. The girls have never watched or played Angry Birds. The only thing they have seen is the previews for the movie.

They got to be Angry Bird birdhouses. I didn't remember what the craft was before they left and when they got home, I was puzzled. They are weird shaped birdhouses, but they loved it.

Cayce didn't take many pictures because we have been having problems with our Dropbox and I didn't want to have to download many pictures to my computer from the Dropbox website.

Also, one thing that bothered me was that this was Samantha's 10th workshop and she didn't get her "10th Workshop" star pin for her apron. I wondered if she will get it next time, or if Cayce has to ask.

Lowe's Workshop

A week ago last Thursday, the girls had a Lowe's workshop. Usually, workshops are on Saturday, but this has been their second Thursday workshop in the years that the girls have been going. This workshop was Mother's Day themed. It was a like a little house but with one side and it had a planter box. And it also had a chalkboard side. This time, they got to add flowers inside their planters. We have chosen which ones goes to my mom.

Cayce said that Ariana did almost the whole thing by herself and was the first one to pick out her flowers.

When they got home, they were so excited to show me their projects. Whenever they go to the Mother's Day workshops, Ariana always gives her to my mom. This year, I am keeping Ariana's and Sammy is giving her to granny.

Sammy chose the pink flower and Ariana picked the white

happy kiddies!

I didn't count this as part of their school on Thursday. Also I wasn't  annoyed that they did this on a Thursday night because if they would have held it on Saturday, then they would have missed the Home Depot workshop. That post will be up on Monday!

Lowe's Workshop

We finally have some bird feeders to put in the yard now!!!! WOOHOO! We just have to put some stain or weatherproof paint on it because it will rot in the rain. I think we want to hang them right next to the bird houses we have up because it would be convenient for the birdies.

Cayce said that Samantha needed a lot of help with her kit and that Ariana only needed a little bit of help.

She is doing so well. She is starting to hit the nail straight down instead of going crooked.

Sammy with her finished birdhouse. Ariana didn't want to take a picture for some reason

I love how these badges look. They are so adorable.

We also found out that when the girls complete their 100th workshop, the next workshop after their 100th will get a pizza party from corporate. I am going to be counting badges and see how many more they have to do.

For the home depot workshop, for every 10th workshop they do, they get a special badge along with a workshop badge. Ariana got her special star badge for completing 10 workshops so far. Sammy will get hers next month.

Home Depot Workshop

The girls had a Lowe's workshop back on the 2nd of this month and that was the end of their Spring Break. They were also dealing with sun burnt faces, so that's why their faces are peeling and red. They built butterfly houses, which I don't know how that works.
opening the kit

Sammy is now an independent kit maker. No help!!

she sticks her tongue out when she concentrates like I do...lol

when I first saw this pic, I laughed so loudly because she totally looks unamused. bahahaha.

painting it a spring color, YELLOW!!

Sammy's nose was the major burn that she had out of all 3 of them. It didn't bother her, but she would pick the skin and hence why it looks bad. She was my little Rudolf kid the past week.

We are going to be putting a finish on it so we can stick them outside. I have no idea how this thing works. Do the caterpillars go inside and build their cocoons in the house and we have to check them or can the butterflies squeeze through the slits on the front???

If ya'll know how this works, leave the knowledge down in the comments! I will be having a Lowe's workshop post up on Thursday, that will also be going outside once we get the finish on it.

Lowe's Workshop

Last Thursday, Lowe's did their first night workshop. I signed the girls up because Cayce was off work that night, and they hadn't been to a Lowes workshop in a while. It was a workshop that they have already done before, but they enjoyed it none the less. This was the same day that we did the chalkboard wall, so I included it as part of their school day. The workshop was building the Lowes race car in Nascar.

Sammy ended up pinching her finger and now she has a blood blister on her middle finger and when she shows people, she ends up flipping us off. It's funny but so wrong. Cayce didn't take many pictures, because they were also helping their friends that always go to the workshops at our Lowes. My kids are so helpful, and love showing off.

I am really going to miss it when they get older and can't attend these workshops anymore because these pictures are totally worth having.

Home Depot Workshop

Today was a makeup day for the girls. They got to build little wagons for their workshop today and this is their new favorite place for workshops because they get to paint. We haven't been to the last few Lowe's workshops because of Cayce's work schedule, but we are going to be going to another one of those soon.

After the workshop, they also went by the library and picked up this week's books. When they got back home, they did quiet time and chores for the rest of their school day.

The next workshop that they will be going to will be another home depot workshop next month. They will be building a butterfly box and that will definitely fit into the unit that I have in mind before Samantha's birthday next month.

Lowe's Workshop

This Lowe's workshop was on my mom's birthday, which was the 13th. They made picture frames. I can't wait to put pictures in them and hang them up. This was make-up day for the 8th. After they had workshop, they went to the library.

While they were waiting to start their workshop, they took some pics and their friends that are always at these workshops showed up and they all worked together. The girls love helping them put the boys crafts together.

Adding the stickers, which we all know will not stay on for long.

They had so much fun, but I know that they have more fun at the home depot workshops because they get to paint. The messier, the better!!! I think the next workshop I am going to register them for is the next Lowe's one at the end of the month or the home depot workshop at the beginning of next month.
