Kindergarten: Week 20

This week is CHRISTMAS!!!!!! I know most moms who homeschool give their kids the week off, but that's what makes me different. I am only giving my kids Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off. I didn't plan to give her yesterday off, but I did, so we did school today to make up.

Monday:
We did our basics and she also colored christmas pictures with her daddy. The one thing that took the rest of our time was a Christmas Verb packet. She loved that.

she had to get some Missy loving

Tuesday:
I decided to get her to do her chores at the end of the day because I didn't have clothes dried or dishes to put up, so while she was doing her puzzle, I was doing that. She loves helping around the house for her school.

we were listening to Christmas music since it was Christmas Eve Eve

we made our own snowflake and put it on the tree.

Wednesday:
Christmas Eve

Thursday:
CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!

Friday:
I gave both of them the day off because I was so drained and tired from the day before.

Saturday:
Yep, she had a Saturday school, oh well. I am shooting for a May 8th last day of school. We did more Christmas stuff because it was still in the air and I had all these worksheets. We tried to put together a gingerbread train but that didn't turn out well and Cayce got a Christmas drawing book from the library. I have to brag and say my kid is a damn good drawer.

yep, didn't work, so i had them just decorate the pieces and eat.
I have pictures of her drawing with Cayce and coloring her Christmas sheets, but I will post those later or do some TBT post someday.

Barden Christmas 2014

Our Christmas morning started around 7:30. As you all know, I AM NOT A MORNING PERSON. So, with that being said, I am not in any of the photos because I was looking rough. My kids all look rough with bed head because they couldn't contain their excitement obviously. And Cayce, well, let's just say the guy was not enthusiastic about being woken up. We definitely got our karma this year for all those years of waking our parents up early. Well played karma, well played..

How can they have so much energy so early in the morning.

happy baby

this was her big present.

loved this

my favorite picture

he had to work to unstick the slinky. made me dizzy.

After presents were opened and living room trashed, we popped in Elf and got cinnamon rolls in the oven. Cayce reclined in his chair and I got on the computer to wish my family a merry Christmas. Yea, we don't call each other, we Facebook each other. Something is seriously wrong with that picture. Around noon, we got dinner started and the kids were still playing. Cayce and I wanted to take naps.

That was our Christmas day. It was cold outside but it didn't rain like the previous years.
