Kindergarten Prep. Work: Week 3

We are going so slowly on this, I'm kind of disappointed with myself. It's not that she isn't interested but it is very boring to me. I have a couple of pictures to document some of the word and games she has been playing.

I have to start planning her kindergarten curriculum SOON! August will be here before I know it and I still have to get our homeschool membership done and get her class t-shirt!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAYCE!

Today is Cayce's 24th birthday. He has to work this morning, but hopefully we will be taking a trip to Winnsboro later this afternoon. Trying to get the house cleaned and something made to surprise him when he gets home.

Trip to the Dentist

Samantha and Ariana had dentist appointments this morning. I take them to the dentist that my mom took me too growing up and the two dentists at that particular practice is on the short list of doctors I trust. I will share that list later. I love Dr. Hendrix and Dr. Price to death. They are amazing at what they do and the assistants are great and loving. My kids LOVE going to the dentist.

When we got there, they immediately sat down in the chairs in the waiting room and we got their a minute before their appointment was supposed to start.

She did so well with her cleaning and while Dr. Price was looking her over, Ariana was in the next room getting her cleaning. Samantha has no cavities aka bad guys.

 I have no pictures of Ariana because I was standing in the hall between both rooms watching both of the kids. Ariana got her cleaning done and she was trying to whistle the whole time. Ariana also has no bad guys. Dr. Price loves that statement that I came up with. You have to brush your teeth to keep the bad guys away!

After we left the dentist, we stopped by Clayton Homes to look at bigger houses to keep in mind when we look to trade in. I found one that has a theater style in the family room. We are keeping a open mind and still looking for the perfect one. We did find one that has a master bath that I fell in love with.

The doors are French doors, and it has a walk in shower and the tub is huge with an amazing stone step. There is a linen closet, but the closet isn't a walk in and that's a con.

RIP JAMIE

This morning, I found out that a friend I went to school with was murdered last night. He was a great guy and a good friend to everyone. It seems like more and more of my classmates are getting killed, ganged up on or getting into drugs and it's hard to watch the people I grew up with and spent a lot of time hanging with are having/ taking lives or running theirs into the ground.

I'm not going to post a picture of him out of respect for his family. All I have to say is that you will definitely be missed Jamie, by everyone in Swansea and Gaston.

Tumblr Addict!!!!!

I have become a MAJOR Tumblr addict. I am only on there for my fangirl right to the things I love. I have so far 10 followers and I am following over 250 blogs. The thing I enjoy most about it, is the fan ficitons. HOLY CRAP. Sometimes, I think to myself, why do I still read published books, when I can read anything I want with the click of a few buttons.

I have been reading a lot of smut and listening to prince and it has definitely changed my life...lol. I'm not the only one though. Tumblr has definitely taken over much of my Facebook time and my friends on Tumblr ARE WAY more interesting than my real life friends on Facebook.

Happy Mother's Day

Cayce woke me up early this morning because he had to go to work. Not that thrilled to be honest. he got me flowers last week for Mother's day and they are in the most adorable vase ever. He got me white and red roses, and blended them together.

I will post more later this week about today.

Lowe's Mother's Day Workshop

Today the girls had a workshop and it was a mother's day themed one. They have been doing workshops a year tomorrow. They started with the mother's day workshop. They LOVE it. They built little flower trucks this year and they are so cute. Cayce didn't take pictures of them building it, but I took pictures of decorating it.

Samantha 5 Year Doctor Appointment

Samantha had her yearly checkup this morning. Cayce took her and she had a really good morning only with her daddy. She is doing really well. She is 3 foot 6 inches, and she weighs almost 41 pounds. Her vision is 20/25 which they say is perfect for her age, and she sang and answered all of her doctors questions.

Her doctor is supportive of us homeschooling her since she answered questions and is so well behaved and polite. I'm glad that we got the support of her pediatrician!

Another Throwback

This was taken in October 2007. My dad and I was on the way to my school from an oral surgeon consultation to have my wisdom teeth removed!

Prep. Curriculum: Week 25

The theme this week was rabbits. Ariana hasn't seen one up close before, so I think a trip to the flea market is in order. I used to have two rabbits growing up and their names were Woody and Jessie! I named them after Toy Story. Woody was my favorite and he was gray. Jessie was white and mean as hell. But anyways, she did like the theme.

Monday:

Never seen a bunny this colorful

Tuesday:
The shape she learned about was a parallelogram. I thought I decided not to do this shape after Sammy had a hard time with it. But, we did it anyways and she had a hard time pronouncing it.

Wednesday:
She did the letter Y today and it was like being asked the question "why?" She kept saying it over and over.

Thursday:
We worked more on the letter Y and we worked on the number 25. It's hard putting 25 stickers on one piece of paper. I'll have to remember to write the number smaller for Adalyn!

Friday:
We had a quick lesson. We only read and did her workbook. We didn't listen to her music as the computer wanted to take it's sweet time updating.

Bobby Cox was by far the BEST manager that the Atlanta Braves had. I always looked forward to him getting ejected from games and every time he did, he always got a standing ovation from fans.

Samantha's Ears Are Pierced

Cayce had to work this morning, but while we were out yesterday morning, we decided to get her ears pierced today! So when he got home, we got the kids ready and piled into the car. We went to the Prince of Orange Mall in Orangburg and we went to RadioShack first to return his Bluetooth, only to get another pair for me.

We then went to Claire's and got Samantha prepared and everything filled out and paid for, to get her ears pierced. It was exhausting, and she was great about the whole thing. She didn't cry or scream. I didn't get any pictures while it was going on because I was in charge of Ariana and Adalyn and I had to go sit them down on a bench. She got diamond studs. Diamond is her birthstone, and before she got her ears pierced, I told her once she gets them done, she will be begging for more. The first thing she said to me when she was done was that she wanted her second holes done ASAP!!!! I laughed because I said the exact same thing to my mom when I got mine done at the exact same place.

After, we got done with that, Cayce took me to Bath and Body Works and spoiled me. It was an early mother's day present. I ended up getting Country Chic body wash, lotion, and perfume. I love that scent. The guy at the register struck up a conversation with me after Cayce commented on his pink apron that he was wearing and he let us know that he was a former army ranger and he made a lot of money in his position and he kept talking to me and ignoring Cayce. I told him when we got to the car that the army guy was going to kick his ass for picking on his pink apron....lol. It was a good day.

Great Family Morning

This morning was fantastic. Cayce had to go pay a bill, so we went to Wal-Mart and got some things. I ended up getting two new shirts and a pair of orange sunglasses. We ran into an old friend that used to work at the old Movie Gallery in Swansea, and we also ran into my brother and sister in law. Cayce treated us to subway for brunch.

I had to get it. It was only $3.00

When we left Wal-Mart, Cayce had to look for a radioshack so he could return his broken Bluetooth. Needless to say, we couldn't find one, so we ended up going into Best Buy and he bought the new Motorola Buds and he got me a new pair of lime green Skullcandy ear buds. I LOVE THEM!!!

When we left Best Buy, we walked down to Target. I haven't been to Target in a long time, so it was fun browsing, and watching the girls try to push the big red balls outside.

When we got inside the store, Cayce treated me to Starbucks and he also bought a new office chair. It feels so amazing and my back no longer hurts. When we got home, he had to go straight to work, but he put my chair together before he left and I'm glad he did. Before I put the girls down for naps, we had a little photo session with my new sunglasses.

I can't wait till Adalyn is able to join in on these fun photo times.
