Lazy Day Tomorrow!!

I have been doing so much around the house this week, that I am going to be taking a lazy day. I might do some chores here and there, but I'm going to relax with my girls and watch tv with them. Cayce has to go to work in the morning, so I have Dog the Bounty Hunter set on my guide.

Cayce has his one week vacation coming up, and we plan on doing yard work all that week. Hoping that we will get somewhere with it. Going to start my holiday prep sometime that week or after our anniversary.

Samantha had a fun day of school. Next week, will be review of what she has learned so far and singing songs or reading poems, and her first bible study.. possibly.

Ready for September 14th

I have been doing so much since Saturday to keep myself busy and not get bored. I have been doing an endless amount of chores. Sam is having a good week with her school work. My mom agrees that I should homeschool her. Been doing excellent on Swagbucks, couponing, workin on my cookbook, and organizing the house.

I saw the preview of a new movie that I want to see, it's called Trouble with the Curve and it has my favorite baseball team, the Atlanta Braves. I am a Braves junkie. Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons because baseball and college football, and I love the Georgia Bulldogs. Cayce is a bulldog fan also, and thats what makes us go together....lol.

WAY Past My Bedtime!!!!

I have been doing chores and other things non stop. I got all the clothes washed, got most of the dishes done and magazine cuts done. I'm still workin on my swagbucks. I met my goal for today, but I set a personal goal for me and I'm almost there.

I should go to bed because we have to get up in a few hours and go pay bills.

Prep. Curriculum: Week 3

Sammy did not have a good week this week. She didnt want to color or repeat the letter and number. I thought she would have liked it because it was a kittens theme, but I was very wrong. She learned about the shape of a diamond, the letter C, and the number 3.

She didn't completely color the kitten, but she did name it Ears....lol. The first day was ok, she didn't whine as much as she did the rest of the week.

Tuesday is when everything started going down hill. She didn't want to do anything at all. I wanted to do diamond shaped brownies, but i didn't have any eggs or a diamond cookie cutter.

She liked writing the letter C but she hated coloring the C's.

This was her counting. It was like pulling teeth to get her to count right. She knows how to, but she was being stubborn and didn't want to do it right. After she put the stickers in her book, she screamed at me because she wanted to keep doing it.

Hoping that this week will go more smoothly. After this week, she will have a one week break and we will do some review.

Lonely week

For the past few days, including today, I have felt so lonely. I am at home with the girls all day while Cayce is at work. I don't get to go anywhere because Cayce has the car. When he gets home, he wants to play video games or go to sleep. We have been arguing lately and we haven't been talking about our days or making plans with each other. He has been wanting to do other things on the weekends and not spend time with the girl and I.

Today he went to work with my dad to get some money to pay the rest of our bills, and everytime I called, he caught an attitude with me. He left so quick this morning, he didn't give me a kiss bye or say good morning to the babies.

I'm tired of feeling this way and I can't talk to him about it because he will get offended and catch an attitude. We need some time apart, but he will get angry over that too.

On a good note, after Cayce left this morning, I got to sleep in till 11. I havent been able to sleep that late since we moved in together.

Enough of my sulking for today. Going to go get some more stuff done aound the house, and try to find something to do tonight, because I don't want to stay home.

Bump in the Road

My family and I have hit a bump in the road. That is our saying when we have a hardtime. Cayce got his paycheck tonight and we are a few dollars short paying 2 bills and our car insurance will be late. I'm down and I have no idea what we are going to do for the next two weeks. We won't have any gas to do errands and the kids wont have pull-ups. I know that it is going to be rough, but we will get through this.

Chores

Chores, that sums up yesterday and today. I have been feeling rushed, like I have to get things done. Cayce got his anniversary present last night. i got him a watch off swagbucks, and he loves it. Ariana's birthday present shipped yesterday and we went shopping today and I found more toys I want to get her. Gonna get some decorations and gift wrap next paycheck, then start gettin her gifts.

We also picked out what we are going to have for our Thanksgiving dinner. We like to plan our dinners months in advance so we know that we have our non perishables in stock, so all we have to get is perishable closer to the holiday. We don't have to worry about a turkey because Cayce's boss gives out turkeys to every employee for thanksgiving.

Since I have so many chores left to do, I am not cooking tonight. I have been craving cereal the past few days and we went shopping this morning and got some. So that's what we are having for dinner.

Prep. Curriculum: Week 2

Week 2 of Samanthat's work went great. The theme was jungle. She learned the word very quickly and loved making animal noises. We did an obstacle course on Monday and colored, and read.

One of the fun things she enjoyed this week was making the letter B out of green play dough, which was the color for the week.

One of the things that made me proud of her was her writing the number 2 by herself. She completely blew me away and I was one proud mama.

The last picture is her counting book. I know I'm cheap and folded a piece of computer paper, but so far, it's getting the job done.
Tomorrow, we start week 3. I have a feeling that this will be Sammy's favorite so far. It's kittens, and we have 2 and their names are Missy and Widow. I'll post about them tomorrow.
Well, going to go relax in my bed with Cayce and watch Holmes Inspection. I love this show.

Busy Bee

Yesterday and today were so hectic. It didn't seem like I had a lot to do, but I sure was running around like a chicken with my head cut off. We took yesterday off from sammy's learning and let her have pretend play. She has been asking for a tea party and we finally had one.

Cayce sold all our scrap metal and aluminum this morning, and we got some gas, wipes and some fall candles for the living room. I know, wasteful spending, but I wont my house to smell good and the only thing we really needed at this point was wipes and gas. Hoping that Cayce's paycheck on thursday willcover all the bills and hopefully start getting some decorations for Ariana's party in October.

I've been wanting to get her a birthday Barbie off swagbucks and when I finally had enough to get it, it became out of stock. So, I ended up getting her a bear wooden puzzle tonight, and start gettin my swagbucks back up so I can eventually get those Barbies when they come back in stock.

I will post week 2 of Samantha's work tomorrow. We will be spending the whole day home relaxing and doing yard work.

Frustrating day

Today started of ok. But then, I took a look at the bills and it all went down hill. Cayce and I called our car ins company and we thought we had everything figured out, then we checked the mail and our light bill was in. I went into complete shock and almost shut down. Cayce is going to go sell metal on Saturday, and hopefully, whatever he gets from that will help some.

I have a wishlist on Swagbucks. I had three Barbie dolls wishlisted, and now, there is only one available. Ariana's birthday is slowly approaching and Swagbucks is the only way I can get her a present this year. I'm hoping that this last Barbie will be restocked and I can get it.

On a better note, Samantha is doing great with her schooling. She learned the number 2 today, and she loved tracing it.

Going to go take a shower now and pray that tomorrow will be a better day.

Prep. Curriculum: Week 1

Last Monday, I started Samantha on her prepatory curriculum for the next curriculum.

The theme last week was cows. This was her learning poster for the week.

She learned about squares, the number 1 and the letter A. She colored pages and her vocabulary word was calf. Everytime we passed a field of cows, she would scream cow.

This was the first day. I printed some cow coloring pages for her and we crawled around the house, acting like cows. It was fun.

This was the second and fifth day. The cow made out of squares was on the last day of last week. She loved making the squares out of raisins, or enjoyed eating the raisins after.

The 3rd and 4th days were number and letter. She colored some pages and went around the house looking for the letter A and pointing out 1 of each object.

We started a new week yesterday and I will blog about it on Friday or Saturday at the latest.

Update

Sorry that I have been MIA all weekend. We were busy running errands, paying bills, and yard work.

Sam has had fun the past week with her schooling. I'll post pics and all about it tomorrow. I don't have any free time tonight to blog about it.

Sorry that I didn't post yesterday. I was really sick and when Cayce got home from work, I cooked supper and went straight to bed. I'll tell more about yesterday and today in the next post.

But for tonight, I'll leave a picture of my baby Addy.

I can't believe that she is already 6 months old. It feels like yesterday, we were going up to the hospital to see her for a few hours and not being able to hold her because she had to stay under her billy light. I swear those were the longest 11 days of my life, not having my baby home.

Sammy

Since working with Sammy all week, she is doing good. we learned about squares yesterday and ever since she has been running around the house pointing out squares.

Today she learned the letter A, and she was writing the capital A and lower case a, and she pointed out so many A's. She was excited.

Tomorrow, we'll be doing the number 1.

Swag Code Extravaganza Day

I have been on swagbucks since 7:00 this morning getting the codes so I can rack up on more Swagbucks. There's not much more to my day than that. Samantha started her prepatory curriculum to get her ready for the letter of the week curriculum. It's like a semi homeschool but she's not being schooled. I'm gettin her ready for school next year and hopefully she'll be potty trained.

August Grocery Shopping=DONE!!!!!

Our grocery shopping for this month is done. It was a long day, we didn't wake up on time to be at Wal-Mart when it opened and I didn't want to go in the middle of the day because it is tax free weekend and school is right around the corner. So we went to Piggly Wiggly, Dollar General, and Bi-Lo.

We did most of our shopping at Piggly Wiggly and we did great. Last night before Cayce and I went to sleep, we choose 9 new recipes to try this month and we got all the ingredients for those. Nearing the end of the shopping trip, I was getting very cranky and it was so hot inside the store and the girls were being cranky.

After the Bi-Lo trip, Cayce and I got into a little argument, but made up on the car ride home. So now we are enjoying the rest of the night at home and relaxing because Cayce goes back to work tomorrow.

Going to go play with my babies and put them down for the night.

Cleaning and Organizing.

Had a rough start to the morning. Woke up sick and body pains all over. Spent most of the day working on my swagbucks goal, and now we are cleaning our bedroom.We rearranged our bed and I do not like the new setup, but apparently, I have no say so in the matter.

Got a teeny little bit of yard work done, but then Cayce got "bored". I think he got mad because I wouldn'y go out there an help him. Just ready to get the day over with and also tomorrow.

Having chef boyardee for supper, and have to finish my menu plans if Cayce will stop showing me stuff and tellin me that we dont need this or askin me questions on everything.

Sorry for my venting. Need to go back to cleaning my filthy house.

Happy Friday

Happy Friday ya'll. Hope everyone out there in blog land had a good day. My day didn't start off really good, but it gradually got better.

I got my grocery list done and fixing to start on my menu plan for the rest of the month. When we go shopping, we buy enough to last the whole month, to save gas and we have other errands to do. I normally make meals from scratch but on Mondays, Thursday, and sometimes weekends, I'll do a simple meal, like Hamburger Helper or Pizza.

Now, I'm waiting for Cayce to come home from work. I plan on making some pork tenderloin and wild rice for dinner. I usually do a crushed cracker pork tenderloin. I might do that or just put it in the oven with some seasonings.

Well, I have a busy weekend ahead of me. Yard work, library, and Ace tomorrow to get a free quart of paint. And Sunday is the dreaded shopping day.

It's time for me to go for tonight. I got to get dinner started because Ghost Adventures comes on tonight at 7:00, and I didn't watch them last week. *GASP* I know.

Productive day & venting

My day has been pretty productive so far.
Cayce and I got our living room organized this morning, and I got all my chores done. Now all I have left to do is finish my couponing, cook supper, and spend the rest of the night with the girls until Cayce comes home from work.

He was feeling somewhat better this morning, but, he went to work like a trooper. We talked about what we would want in our garden once we get the yard the way we want it, and we were talking about our house that we would love to have built after I buy the vacant lot that used to belong to my brother.

Working very hard on Samantha's letter of the week curriculum because I have her starting it nexy week. I would love to homeschool the girls, but in the state of South Carolina, she has to be 5 years old to be able to be homeschooled, but she can go to a public school at the age of 3, but since she isnt potty trained, she can't go.

August Already?

This year is going by way too fast. It seems like yesterday was New Year's Eve and Cayce's friend Budd was over. But, it's still a good day so far, except for Cayce being sick. I'll get to that later.

Coupons restocked this morning, which is always a good thing in my house, but this month, we are doing stuff differently. We shop mostly at Bi-Lo and Piggly Wiggly and we have rewards cards for both. We mainly do our main shopping at Bi-Lo, so we can get the fuel perks, and then get cheap stuff at Piggly Wiggly and try to get greenbax. Well, we are going to do all Swagbucks and non-Swagbucks coupons at Bi-Lo and get all our meat and dairy from Piggly Wiggly. So, it should be win win.

Now onto Cayce being sick. Don't know what happend. I cooked chicken last night and I always cook his meats last because he loves spicy stuff and the girls don't. I guess I got distracted by the girls and took the chicken out of the pan to early, because in the middle of the night last night, Cayce started hurling like there was no tomorrow.  So, he took the day off from work and I'm hoping that it's not food poisioning.

At least I got to blog at a decent time today.
Time for me to go be nurse again.
