Library Haul #27

It's another library haul!!!!! It's the last day of February. That's kind of hard to believe because it feels like it was just yesterday that Cayce and I were in the kitchen, getting all of the ingredients in the crock pot for our New Year's Day dinner. It's totally crazy! Anyways, let's get this over with>>>>

1. From Head to Toe
The girls loved this book and every action that I read off, they did. It was so cute and fun.

2. Big Brown Bear's Up and Down Day
The girls enjoyed this story. They especially loved the picture at the end of the rat snuggled up in the old slipper

3. Put Me in the Zoo
This has always been a favorite these last few years. We always get this book from the library every school year.

4. Go to Sleep, Dear Dragon
I started of the day with reading this to the girls and they enjoyed it. They figured out that the little boy was dreaming right after I started reading it which was amazing, that they comprehended it during the story and not after.

There's this week's haul. It's very small. I kept debating on whether or not to add the movies I requested for Cayce and I to watch but decided against it.

Change of Plans

Tonight was supposed to be my library haul, but I forgot to go to the library on Friday to pick up my requests and the library is closed on Sunday and I couldn't go on Saturday, so as the title says, change of plans. It's a Polyvore outfit post and it's one of my favorites!! The name I chose for this outfit is called Wonderer. I imagined walking along the beach on Tybee Island and this was born.

1. Ladies Button Tanktop
2. Stolen Belted Hot Pants
3. Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Low Top Sneakers
4. ALEX AND CHLOE Can Tab Necklace
5. Ray-Ban RB2140 Original Wayfarer® Sunglasses, Black

I am in love with this can tab necklace, but it is so expensive... like WOAH!

School Week 28 Recap

This week flew by quickly. Monday was a awkward day for us. It was a a day of doing school, waiting for Cayce, Ariana leaving to go get her ears pierced. The rest of the week was productive.

Monday: We had a very late start to the day. It was a little after noon when we started. They did morning work and quiet time. The rest of the day, Samantha worked in her workbook and Ariana wrote words until she left to get her ears pierced. They got their required time in, so I am not bothered. I didn't take many pictures, but I got one of Sammy's work and Ariana's ears.
Sammy loves doing these types of pages. Figuring out the answer and then that answer is whatever color.
can't really see her earrings but she was a happy girl. she didn't cry.

Tuesday: We started the day at the time I have scheduled for the year. They did morning work and went straight to quiet time.

After quiet time, we listened to disc 1 of Mr. Popper's Penguins.

After the very boring sitting session and that CD was long as hell. To end the day, Ariana did computer work and Samantha worked on sight words and also did computer work.

Sammy is getting so good at math, that she is starting to figure it out in her head.

Wednesday: We had another early morning with morning work and we listened to the last disc of Mr. Popper's Penguins.

After we got through listening to the book, they played the playdough board game.

They played that for a while and they requested library books.
After reading library books, they did quiet time and Ariana finished her day with workbooks and Samantha did computer work. She loves Jolly Robin.

Thursday: It was another early day for us but earlier than yesterday. I didn't take many pictures. It was mainly the same morning work and Ariana did words and computer work. Sammy did workbooks and to end the day, they watched a new movie.

Friday: We started the day earlier than yesterday. It was basically an early week for us, and it was productive. They did morning work and I printed them off Leap Day packets. I let them do these pages today instead of on Monday.

After they did that for an hour and a half, they did quiet time and then played hi-ho cherry-o. That game is helping Ariana learn math. The rest of the day was more workbook pages and color by number worksheets. That ended our good school week.
this was an addition color by number.

That was it for our school week. I thought it would be crazy long and stressful, but it was quick and productive.

"She's So Georgia" - Jon Langston (Official Music Video)

I found this video on a Georgia Bulldog fan group on Facebook and instantly fell in love with the song. Ya'll know how I feel about the great state of Georgia and how I want to live there and will one day make that happen. I love my bulldogs and I just love Georgia in general.

China Hut 3 Review

Here is another new series that I am going to be starting. I love reading reviews on restaurants that are small and never on the map. I want to do that with some of my favorite restaurants. The first one is going to be a Chinese restaurant. I have been eating from this place since I was a baby. My dad loved it and it is absolutely delicious. The food is so authentic.

This is the entrance. It is tucked into a little parking lot of a small strip mall that holds a Mexican restaurant, Mexican bar and Mexican liquor store.

This Buddha meets you right when you walk into the door. We always rub his belly for good luck.

Now, I always order shrimp fried rice and 7 cut wings. The wings used to be larger than they are now and so juicy, but now they are tiny and not juicy. The rice is more oily than it used to be, but they cook it to perfection.

The shrimp fried rice will always be my favorite, but I might be cutting out the wings. I just love this place and hope that the same family that has been there since I was a child, will still be owning and running it.

Lowe's Workshop

This Lowe's workshop was on my mom's birthday, which was the 13th. They made picture frames. I can't wait to put pictures in them and hang them up. This was make-up day for the 8th. After they had workshop, they went to the library.

While they were waiting to start their workshop, they took some pics and their friends that are always at these workshops showed up and they all worked together. The girls love helping them put the boys crafts together.

Adding the stickers, which we all know will not stay on for long.

They had so much fun, but I know that they have more fun at the home depot workshops because they get to paint. The messier, the better!!! I think the next workshop I am going to register them for is the next Lowe's one at the end of the month or the home depot workshop at the beginning of next month.

The Laughing Corpse

Here is my review for book 2 in the Anita Blake series. This one was a little longer and more gory than the first. It had more zombie and voodoo action than actual vampire plot.
The cover is gorgeous. I love the old cover art more than the new ones that show on the book websites. This book started off with Anita meeting with a guy who would pay out the ass to raise a old old zombie. Basically it would take a human sacrifice to make it happen and Anita refused and basically put herself on the guy's shit list. Then she was called into a crime scene that was gruesome and bloody. It was a family and there was a little boy that was kidnapped... later on the little boy also becomes a monster meal. Anita meets with the very important voodoo priestess Dominga Salvadore, who basically sends zombies to kill her in her own home. She finds out that her partner Manny did human sacrifices for the Senora, and he left her for his current wife Rosita who is religious as hell.

Basically, Anita kills a lot of bad guys, and zombies. She meets Jean-Claude at his new comedy club called The Laughing Corpse. He basically tells her that she has to obey as his human servant so he won't get mutinied against by the other vampires for not being able to control Anita.

The one thing I love about the titles is that they are names of places that are all vampire based in the novel. Jean-Claude is the master of the city so he basically owns Guilty Pleasures and The Laughing Corpse.

I don't want to give to much more away but the end is so amazing, and it sheds more light onto Jean-Claude and Anita's bond.

Library Haul #26

We picked these books and DVD up on Friday, and they watched the movie during their makeup day on Saturday. So on to the haul>>>>>

1. Mr. Popper's Penguins
We watched this movie last night and any Jim Carrey movie is amazing. I loved the penguins. I have to say Nimrod is my favorite.

2. Mr. Popper's Penguins
This is the sound disk to the book. I didn't want to read a long book, and I wanted to listen to it.

3. Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel
This was such a long book, but a good one

4. Snug Bug
This was such a cute little book. The little bug was just so cute and not wanting to go to bed and his bed was a box of tissues.

5. Biscuit's Day at the Farm
I have always loved the Biscuit books, thanks to my dad.

6. Cat Traps
This had to be the favorite book because it was about a cat, and our household pets are two cats. President Snow and Missy.
