Before Tricia's Wedding

The day of my cousin's wedding, Cayce had to work a couple hours mandatory at Accurate. So, he decided to leave at 10:00 and we got the girls in their matching dresses and shoes that we bought on Friday night. We had a little breakfast and Cayce and I dressed. My dad came over and we followed him. It was a pretty long drive but it was worth. We definitely got some laughs in on the way. My dad almost got wet by an irrigation system because the car in front of him slowed WAYYYYY down and it was hilarious.

When we got to the marina and resort, the pollen SUCKED! It was everywhere and it made me irritated. I had to get inside quickly before I went into a sneeze fest.

The weather was nice and there was a party going on right next to the deck/patio we were on. The colors of the wedding were Orange and Purple. My cousin is a HUGE Clemson Tigers fans, and those are Clemson colors. The guys wore orange shirts and the bridesmaids wore purple dresses.

It was so lovable.

They walked to another one bites the dust. Everyone laughed and the party people on the other side were really respectful and sat on the sand and watched and after the ceremony, it seemed like everyone of them jumped up and started cheering and then went back to partying.

 

My next post will be all about the reception. More pictures and more details. It was a beautiful day and it was awesome for Cayce and I to attend a wedding together.

Prep. Curriculum: Week 22 (Ariana)

The theme this week was seasons. I thought about changing the vocabulary word from autumn to spring, but I kept it the same because she knows that we are in the spring and she knows the difference of the seasons.

Monday:

Since it's spring, I gave her a spring coloring page. She did great doing different colors. It was a proud mommy moment.

Tuesday:
The color for the week was lavender. She loved the light purple and she wore her little lavender and white dress that matches Samantha.

Wednesday:

I done forgot what color she colored the vulture but she knows that they are the Ice Age movies and she immediately started singing the song Glorious Food from the 2nd movie. It was hilarious.

Thursday:

This page was a little difficult for her but she eventually understood.

Friday:

She did this page all by herself.

Tricia's Getting Married

Today, my cousin Tricia is getting married. I'm beyond excited because it's the first wedding that the girls will attend. It's also going to be on Lake Murray, and the weather is great for today. Cayce took the girls and I shopping for some new shoes and clothes. I got the girls matching wedges, to go along with their matching dresses.

Our Drive In Trip

Our family trip to the drive in was fun. We had a great time and the weather was fine. It didn't rain but it was pretty much an overcast afternoon. It wasn't hot and there was a slight breeze. We ended up getting there at 5:45, and hour before the gates open and we were the 4th car in line. I now have a preference for going to the drive in, go on Sunday nights in the spring and fall/winter seasons, because that's when school is in. I don't know about the summer, I think probably on Saturday nights because people go to church on Sundays and might not want to be out late the night before.

Cayce and I packed a big bag of food including hotdogs, and popcorn. We bought candy and water at the store. When the gates opened up, we were on the main field and the girls were looking around. The first thing we did was take the girls to the little playground in front of the screen and let them run some energy off. Addy started throwing dirt everywhere and by the time we got back to the car, Cayce was the only one who didn't join the dirt in the mouth club..lol.

The first movie was Captain America and it started at 8:05. I wasn't into it that much and kept squirming around. I kept shoving food in the kids mouths to keep them quiet and happy. When Need for Speed came on, I was excited. I had been waiting to see it since last year when I saw the teaser trailer on the game's Facebook page. Ariana fell asleep and Addy was getting agitated and tired. Cayce wanted to leave and I kept telling him no. It baffled me that he wanted to leave during a movie that he has been wanting to see just as badly as I did. It became apparent to me that he didn't want to be there at all and certainly didn't want the kids to be there either. I told him the next time we go, it will just be him and I and it will be in November or I will be the only one coming.

I just didn't like his attitude at all that night, but it didn't stop me or the girls from having a good time. I think the next time we go to a movie theatre, it will be in the summer when the 1 dollar movies come out for kids. But that won't be for a drive in, it will be a walk in and I'm anxious to see how the girls do in a walk in theatre.
