Since I'm writing this in the early morning hours and haven't gone to sleep yet because I can't without Cayce, I'll just get this post out the way. Yesterday (Tuesday), Cayce was at work at the store. Tuesday is a truck day for the store, so he was unloading with a co-worker. Around 11:15, he got hit in the head by a block of dry ice that fell from on top of the box he was grabbing. He and his co worker didn't see it. It got him good and made his ear all bloody and his bosses sent him to the medical center here in Swansea to see if he damaged his ear drum.
He got the all clear from the doctor about his ear drum and he went to fill his prescription. On his way back home, he called to tell me that he was having trouble seeing while he was driving. I know he is a freaking moron to call while driving and while he can't see. He got home safely, and I made him some lunch and gave him some ibuprofen and put the ointment in his ear. While that was happening, he started getting a really bad headache and he called our pastor to get him to take him to the hospital.
They were gone for about an hour till Cayce called me and his speech was slurring so bad that pastor had to take the phone away from him to tell me to look for his medical records from when he was in his accident in '97. When they got here, Cayce took one look at me and started crying, and wanting a hug. He is never like this and it broke my heart. The last time he had vision and speech problems and was crying, he had a concussion and that was back in 2009.
So I am guessing they got to the hospital around 6pm, and he called me at 12:20am, and hour and 10 minutes ago, to tell me that they finally called him to the back to be seen by the doctor. I just got a text 10 minutes ago from our pastor, that they were wheeling him to get a CAT scan done.
I am super tired and I will update later when Cayce is back on his feet.
