Monday: Good start to the week. I got three freebies.
December 7, 2015 issue of ESPN magazine

Mambo Sprouts coupon booklet

Roux Anti-Aging shampoo and conditioner

Tuesday: Today was great and stupid for freebies. It was great because it was the only thing in my mailbox.... like I need any more bills in my life, but I have no need for this magazine. I didn't even ask for this. To put this out there now.... I AM NOT PREGNANT!!!! I can't get preggers anymore.
American Baby magazine

Wednesday:  I got one freebie in the mail and then Addy got a free bo'berry biscuit from Bo'Jangles this morning on her way to speech.
Bo'Berry Biscuit

Vaseline sample from Target
This smells so good, but it feels greasy.

Thursday: I got one freebie today and Cayce tried to take it, claiming that I don't need it and he does. I told him, he better keep his paws off of it because if I let him have it, it would be in the shed and never used and forgotten about.
Grizzly membership kit.
It came with two decals, a field notebook and the camo pocket knife.

Friday: I got 3 goodies today and once again, Cayce tried to take the best freebie to forget about in his shed if he had taken it.
The Little Engine That Could
This came from the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. This is Addy's book. She will get a book every month until her 5th birthday.

School Week 16 Recap

Monday: We started the morning off with our usual work. They did their daily notebooks, while I got the rest of the day planned. I decided to let them do their quiet time separately today. Ariana did hers first and Samantha did her computer work.

When Ariana got done with her quiet time, Samantha was still working on her computer work, so I went ahead and started Ariana on her's and when Sammy was done with hers, she went straight to her quiet time.

After their computer work, we started our Christmas movie marathon. We have some Christmas movies we own but I knew that the ones we don't have were at the library and I had to request them fast or we wouldn't be getting those around Christmas time. So the movie we watched today was The Polar Express. After the movie, I printed them up some Polar Express coloring pages.

Tuesday: We started 15 minutes later that we usually do, but it was all good. Everytime I think about starting around noon again this year like last year, I get anxiety. It's ridiculous! After morning work, Sammy did her quiet time first while Ariana started her computer work. It worked so well yesterday, that I split them up again today.
Sammy reading some words.

Ariana did so great on this. I had to keept reminding her to say the names of the animals and colors instead of saying this right here or that right there.

Ariana made the same wreath that Sammy did last year. I think this one turned out better.

Ariana started on the letter J

Ariana's computer work went longer than Samantha's quiet time, so I went ahead and got started with Samantha on her computer work while Ariana was cutting out the shapes for her wreath. Samantha worked more even and odd numbers and she did some sort of test and she did it twice and she got 20 out of 20 right. PROUD MOMMY MOMENT!!

To end the day, we watched another Christmas movie from the library. We watched A Christmas Carol. They laughed so much during this and Samantha had to describe the movie to me at the end, and she started off with this "the crazy old man". I busted out laughing because she was excited. That makes me happy.

Wednesday: We started the day off with watching a movie that we didn't get to watch last night as a family. It wasn't a Christmas movie but it was one that the girls were wanting to see. It was Open Season 3. After, they drew their pictures and got to work on their morning work, and chores. They wanted to do quiet time today and Cayce was home sleeping, so I didn't want to make much noise and usually when Cayce takes a nap, Addy follows. After their quiet time, they did dominoes.

We were getting hungry and I decided to have a cooking session today. We decided to make some homemade pizza. You are going to see in several pics a large bruise on Sammy's right arm. We do not know how she got it. One night we put her to bed, and the next morning, a massive bump and that bruise was forming. We don't know if she hit something in her sleep, or if some type of creepy crawly bit her. But she is fine and it is going away slowly. The thing is that it doesn't hurt her, only if we press down to feel the bump.

sitting our timer to 11 minutes for our pizza

Airy spreading more sauce

we used Kraft Mexican 4 cheese.

way too many pepperoni's

now time for the black olives

this pizza was super greasy, but the girls enjoyed it.

I gave them lots of water after they got through eating.

After the pizza was done, we ate and we called it done for the school day. It did feel like we didn't have a good school day because we didn't do workbooks or computer work. I felt like a failure today, but the girls had fun watching their movie and retelling what happened back to me and cooking their own pizza.

Thursday: We started the morning off an hour late and my anxiety was rising. I don't know why. I feel like I won't have enough time to finish everything. It's ridiculous. They started with their morning work, read some books and to just relax, we played Hi-Ho Cherry-O. It was a fun little game.

this was a good game to help with math skills

they had fun.

They played that game for a good half of the day. After the game, they watched How The Grinch Stole Christmas. We laughed so much. They drew pictures after and they are so cute.

They ended the day with quiet time. It was a great relaxing day.

Friday: We had another late start to the day but I didn't care. We started with morning work and Ariana did her quiet time first, while Samantha did workbooks. She practiced her skip counting. She did her 2's, 5's and 10's.

Ariana was doing so great with her quiet time. She was asking certain words and saying this word starts with this letter.
After Samantha did a few pages in both of her workbooks, Ariana's quiet time was over and it was her turn to do her workbooks, while Sammy did her quiet time. Airy didn't take as long on her workbooks and then she went to her computer work for the rest of the day.

Samantha was working on her addition and using her counting bears.

It was a good week. I have a lot more that I want to cover before Christmas/ New Year. The next few posts might be longer than the ones previously posted for the past school weeks.

Library Haul #16

This is my Christmas book/movie haul. I will be doing two more hauls this month and then I will start back up in January. The last two weeks of this month will be 3 days long and so there is no point on getting library books when I have a stash of Christmas books here at home. So, ON WITH THE HAUL>>>>>>

1. A Christmas Story
I should dislike this movie because every year growing up, my mom would have us watch A Christmas Story marathon all day every Christmas eve night and day. I haven't watched it in a few years, and I really want to. My fave is the bunny suit.

2. Christmas Vacation
It's a classic and it my 2nd favorite Christmas movie!

3. It's A Wonderful Life
The last time I watched this movie, it was my freshman year of high school. Cayce has never seen it. I know, shocker there. I have to sit him down with some caramel popcorn and hot chocolate.

4. A Christmas Carol
I have never seen this version of this story. The girls watched this on Tuesday as part of their school and Samantha called Scrooge "the crazy man". I busted out laughing. I like the real life version more than this one, but Jim Carey killed it.

5. The Lorax
The kids LOVE the movie, but they need to hear the book version. All Dr. Seuss books are genius. In a way, I don't like the fact that they made film adaptions of the books. The Cat in the Hat was a big fail and it turned me away from the book when I enjoyed it growing up. Now The Lorax and How the Grinch Stole Christmas... YESS!!! Amazing how they brought those to life.

6. How the Grinch Stole Christmas
As I said, all Dr. Seuss books are my favorite but this one is in my top 3. My mom loves the cartoon version and always watched it. She loves the Grinch just as much as she loves the Christmas story and I think that's more than she loves me and my brother.... dead serious!

7. How the Grinch Stole Christmas
My #1 favorite Christmas movie of all time. Jim Carey is the best Grinch and it is so hilarious! Now, if they did a 24 hour marathon of this movie, I would be a happy girl!! Sadly, I do not own this movie and have to watch it as much as I can before next Monday. It is already being requested and held for other people. Anyways, I LOVE MAX!

8. Cowboy Up
Non Christmas related... this book is for Ariana. I have a list of 100 books for every Kindergarten student to read.

9. Great Day for Up
Another Dr. Seuss book. I was really on a Dr. Seuss crave. One of Sammy's favorite books is written by Dr. Seuss and that makes me VERY happy.

10. How Do Dinosaurs Say Good Night
I have never read this book. But it looks good and funny.

11. I Stink
My kids have some nasty farts and burps and they fart and burp more than a little girl should. But I was the same way growing up with my friends. I thought they would love this because I could relate it to them, and it looks like the dump truck could be from Cars.

That's this weeks haul. If you like any of these movies and/or books, leave a comment and talk to me.

Hello December!!

It is officially the end of 2015. 30 more days. I can't believe this year has flew by so fast. So much has happened. Cayce got a new job, Samantha graduated Kindergarten and moved up to first grade. Ariana started Kindergarten. Addy is improving in her speech. Along with those positive things, we have had ALOT  of downfalls this year. I just hope that things will be better next month.

It is the beginning of a new month and I am already for it to be over. The holidays this year and last have not been to great for my family, but the only thing we can do is move on. I have some new type of posts I will be introducing on the 16th of this month. One of them is my Polyvore sets. I want to share my outfit ideas on here. I know that a lot of people do it, and I don't want to seem like a copy cat. I just enjoy looking at other people's outfit sets and getting inspiration for my books, and I hope I can do the same for someone else.

Also, to make this month more bearable for Cayce and I, I am planning some little local outings for just us or with the kids. We haven't been doing that lately because of school and work and just general stress of everyday life. Samantha asked me the other day why we didn't go on trips anymore. Even to the grocery store. We don't have time. I always ask Cayce to go by on his way home from work and to get groceries from his job just to save time and gas.

Some will be date nights, where Cayce and I will probably play a board game or watch movies or do like we used to do, just sit in bed and he can draw and I read and we can just talk. The simple things I miss with him, and I think that will be a great stress reliever for the both of us. We had a great date night when we went to the drive in. We put all our worries and responsibilities to the side. We didn't talk about bills, or work, or school or the kids. We just enjoyed each others company. The other thing is that when we were working on getting the fan belt cleaned up before the movie, we didn't argue once. We didn't get pissy with each other and we didn't look at each other with hatred and blame.

I want this month to be a great one for all of us and I will be announcing more plans for this blog for 2016 at the end of this month. Thank you to my followers. If you read my posts and have stuck around, thank you so much. Just seeing your name on my followers list is motivation to keep this blog going. I love you all!!
