Samantha's Birthday Recap

The day started off with Samantha going to her annual IHOP birthday breakfast. Her birthday outfit was a pink tulle frilly sequin skirt with a black spaghetti strap top. She wore pink flip flops and of course her birthday headband along with her birthstone necklace that she got last year. Judging by the pictures, she had a VERY good breakfast and had a good time with her daddy.

she is so pretty

I'm jealous of her eyes

so cute. yes my kid knows how to behave in restaurants.

look at that spread. hungry just looking at it.

I am surprised she didn't make Cayce switch plates with her...lol.

I love these types of pics when the kids are staring at something good and you snap a pic right when they lick their lips. It's hilarious

When she got home, Cayce had to leave for work. So they had a balloon movie party in her room. Cayce got them a pink DVD player for their room and so they take every opportunity to relax in their room and watch a movie in a cool dark room.

beautiful girls

That was pretty much all she did for the rest of her birthday. But she did have a good birthday weekend. Next year, she wants a water balloon party. Lord, help me!!!!!

Happy 6th Birthday Samantha

This was taken yesterday before her birthday dinner.

Happy Birthday my baby. I can't believe that you are 6 years old. It still feels like yesterday I was a scared high school senior who didn't have a clue as to what was going to happen. Was i going to make it that last month of school. How was everything going to work. But, baby girl you definitely opened my eyes and pushed me to work harder than ever that last month of school. It was hard walking across that stage without you and daddy sitting in the audience but as soon as I could leave, I didn't want to stay away longer from you because you and I had to celebrate. You are growing before my very eyes and every day I wish you would slow down, but I am growing right along with you and learn something new everyday.

I love you so much Samantha.

Samantha's Birthday Dinner

We decided to have Samantha's birthday dinner today since tomorrow is a work day for my parents and Cayce has to pretty much work all day tomorrow. We all woke up early this morning to get her dinner ready by 11. That's what time my parents came by, and then Cayce left 30 minutes later. Samantha had fun with Papa because he played checkers and he bought her Legos for her birthday. Her very first set of Legos.

Daddy went to the store and got her a card and a happy birthday headband that she wore all day.

granny made the cake.

Adalyn was going to town on those hushpuppies that papa brought.

Samantha's birthday dinner was the same as our Easter dinner. It was what she requested. It was BBQ chicken, field peas and snaps with mashed potatoes and gravy. It was deliciously messy!!!!

Cayce bought these LED balloons and put them all in their room. I love them. They are the coolest balloons I have ever seen.

After we got through eating and letting our food settle, Samantha and papa tore into the Legos. It was hilarious to see them both on the floor concentrating

My mom brought over a basket of clothes for the kids and there was a little ballerina outfit in it and Ariana claimed it and held on to it for dear life the whole day until I just put it on her.

Ariana Letter Curriculum: Week 22

This wasn't a week, it was more like one day. We only did workbook work on Tuesday. But she did do some garden work with Samantha, so the week wasn't a total loss.

Tuesday:
she built a castle of blocks

We did review letters on Tuesday. I wanted to do more but that workbook is getting boring to her and she wants to do more. She is doing what Samantha is doing and she loves it.

Kindergarten: Week 35

Happy 35th week everybody!!!!! We are coming down to the end, and I just realized that we still have a lot left to do... it's so ridiculous.

Monday: She wanted to watch a movie today, so I told her that she had to do all of her work and then she could watch a movie of her choice, but she has to tell me what it was about. She did more domino math and she started her week 14 spelling words. She watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

doing her domino math.

Tuesday: We started the day off with cleaning her room and putting away clothes. I swear I must wash clothes every day.. that's the biggest con of having a big family. We also read some garden books and did more domino math.

sorting clothes.

she wanted to do a free draw, so here is her little masterpiece.

I AM IN LOVE WITH MY HANDWRITING!

Wednesday: I had a day outside planned to do some gardening of our Easter lilies, but it was pouring down rain, so we started the day off watching Big Hero 6 while I re-planned the day.
we played with President snow after the movie

she loves doing her domino math. I have to find some more ideas like this.

Thursday: So she spent most of the day shopping for her garden with Cayce and her sisters. She also did some grocery shopping. There are not that many pictures. When she got back home, we read some books and then she did her usual work that she does at the beginning of the day and that was the end of her day.

her poem of the month that she recites every day.

Friday: Today I took a ton of pictures to make up for yesterday. The pictures are pretty self explanatory.

she loves her hat that Granny got her,

she was happy to be doing some more artwork.

so happy

she demanded that she do computer work today or she wasn't going to behave... so, she did computer work.
She has a three day weekend after today because Monday will be her 6th birthday!!!!
Quit growing up kid!
