Ariana Letter Curriculum: Week 28

I am calling this the home stretch. We are almost done with this hellish time with this curriculum. The year didn't go as I planned and it wasn't fun for Ariana.

On Tuesday, we started the letter V.

The reason this curriculum was so disappointing this year was that we missed days and that she also knew her letters so it was really boring for her. She didn't like the science or the social studies aspect of it early on because she couldn't say the words. I kind of figured those two subjects would be a problem, because Sammy had the same problem when she was doing this curriculum.

Thursday:

This was all that we did this week. A real disappointment, but she enjoyed doing her workbook.

Cayce's Birthday Recap

Friday was Cayce's 25th birthday. Right when it turned midnight, I started screaming HAPPY BIRTHDAY to him. It was a silly moment and we also took some pictures. We are some very photogenic people at night-time.

About 30 minutes later, he headed to Wal-mart to pick up his birthday breakfast. Yes, we go to wal-mart late at night. We don't like the crazies that come out during the day.

Breakfast was delicious. It smelled and tasted awesome!!!

That night while Cayce was at work, I tried to make his cake. It sucked, but it was delicious.

I had to separate the batter and color the batter different colors. I HATED THAT. It took to much time, but Cayce loved it. 

Here is the end product. While I was frosting it, the batter sections wanted to fall apart. They didn't cook together. I will not be getting another one of these cakes. It was too time consuming and the different colors wanted to separate. 

While the cake was baking and the girls were just getting done with their supper, they wanted to make daddy some birthday cards. So cute.

I wrote this on our white board. I love the little music noted, but I don't think the bottom one is though.

When Cayce got home from work, he saw the cards and his reaction was just TOO adorable to miss.

Overall, I guess I can say that he had a great birthday even though he had to work. 

Sammy's Graduation

Today my baby graduated from Kindergarten. It was a great day over all. She was excited and I was excited, because all our hard work was paid off when she got her little diploma tonight. She had myself, Cayce, Ariana, Adalyn and her granny and papa came to support her as well as Cayce's close friend. I have a video that I will link soon.

We started the day off with taking the girls to my mom and dad's house while Cayce and I went to have his birthday breakfast at IHOP.

I get this Philly cheese steak stack every time.

Then we had to hurry back home to get ready because we had to be at the church by 5PM because the ceremony started at 6pm.

We got there and had no idea where to go and we had to walk in the hot sun and my feet were killing me and I was wearing all black. We found where to go, and we got inside and we got Samantha in her little cap and gown and almost instantly she started making new little friends. It was so cute.

One of my fave pictures is of her with another little girl who was wearing a white gown with a pink tassel, and Samantha was wearing a black gown with a bright green necklace. I will not be sharing that picture to protect the other child.

she earned this playtime, but she had to eat her supper first which she inhaled. she did the same thing I did on my graduation day from high school. I couldn't eat at all that day because I was too nervous, and because Sammy wanted to be clingy that day too.

Happy Birthday Cayce

My love is 25 today!! We took some pictures around midnight and he went to wal-mart for a little overnight shopping. Yes we do our shopping in the dead of night because we get fed up with people and crowds. I will post more about his birthday this weekend.

Memorial Day Pics

Happy Memorial Day everyone. I know it has been a while since I posted but life is definitely making me busy. I don't have any free time. I know this post is being late but it's up. I am a huge military supporter and today was an emotional day for me. I have many friends and some family in the military that are deployed and some friends that are now veterans and suffering through PTSD.

Today, Cayce had to work, so the girls and I just relaxed at home and watched movies and played all day. I also talked to them about their family members and some of my closest friends that are like brothers to me.

I took pics of the girls holding our little American flag and those will be posted later.

Hope everyone enjoyed their day and remembered the true meaning of this day. If you come across a veteran, make sure to stop them and thank them for their service because if it wasn't for them, we would not be free today!

Ariana Letter Curriculum: Week 27

I made this a review week, and we worked in our other workbook that I use for review weeks.

Monday:

This was all for this week. She doesn't really like review weeks because she thinks they are boring. I hope that kindergarten for her will not be boring or I will be screwed.
