APRIL 2022 WRAP UP// Sunday Post #30

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly from The Caffeinated Book Reviewer

Hello Hello Hello, long time no chat. I took an unexpected hiatus from blogging and filming last month. So much happened at the end of March, that just made me so overwhelmed that for all of last month, I just worked. I did get some reading done and we had some events happen that were fun and not so fun. The first weekend of April, my husband's aunt took the kids to the beach for the weekend and that was a great way to end spring break. Si got her spay surgery on the 19th because we have a male dog hanging around and I DON'T WANT PIT BULL GERMAN SHEPHERD PUPPIES! On the 20th, was my oldest daughter's birthday. I officially have a teenager and it is so trippy. Then the Saturday after, my 11 year old fractured her right ankle while jumping on the trampoline and now she is in a boot for three weeks. To end April, my husband's 11 year old cousin came to spend the night with the girls and it was so much fun. We had a zoo trip and a movie night outside watching Dr. Strange. Overall, April was a well needed break from hobbies and just enjoyed being in the moment. How was everyone's April???

APRIL PHOTO DUMP:

Some of my favorite pictures that I took this month.

The day she got her boot. She was happy to get off her crutches, but still feeling sorry for herself

My girls with their cousin in the back. She is 11 and taller than all three of them

My most anticipated middle grade of the year and I am so sad that this series is over. This was such a good conclusion.

Si doesn't know whether to use it as a pool or a giant water bowl

Clingy during my read aloud time.

My baby turning 13 years old. Jamming to BTS before we had an hour long power outage due to my electric company changing out decades old poles on the main highway.

Opening her many gifts in front of family

Ending April with a Marvel movie night

BOOKS READ IN APRIL

The only posts that I posted in April were blog tour reviews and some book reviews. I also didn't buy any books for myself in the month of April, but I did buy the box set of the Amulet graphic novel series by Kazu Kibuishi for my daughter's birthday.

Enjoy your week!!!

  2. Welcome back! You did have quite the whirlwind of an April. It's hard when these kids grow up, isn't it? I've got two that are adults now and it still blows my mind. :) Happy reading in May!
