Prep. Curriculum: Week 20

Balloons, balloons, balloons. That was the theme for the week. She had a hard time trying to pronounce the vocab word, which was helium. It was hilarious hearing her try to say it. I gave her Friday off. She did amazingly well all week and didn't have any meltdowns. Good for her and good on my ears.

Monday:
She colored hot air balloons and everyone that saw it, she would point it out. We read a balloon counting book and it was about birds popping balloons, and I would say "those pesky birds", and she would say "pesty", it was a great laughing moment.

She was proud of those hot air balloons. We listened to The Balloon Song by Mark Willis. I fell in love instantly with the song.

Tuesday:
Here is last week's lesson that I switched up by accident.

Wednesday:

She picked out the green color all by herself. I was going to give her a light green and she told me no, and chose the dark green. Little miss independent!

Thursday:
she did this page all by herself. PROUD MOMMY MOMENT!!!!!

We used little stickers and we had room for more. Made a mental note, not to use big stickers the next few weeks.

Friday:
She had the day off and I focused solely on getting Samantha's school planning done, because Sammy has 1 more month before her Kindergarten prep work I have set aside.

Cayce taught them both how to do push ups last night and they are doing great with that.

NEW Instagrammer Here!!

I have officially jumped on the Instagram bandwagon! I started last Tuesday, and I'm IN LOVE! I joined because I wanted to follow all of my fave celebs and see their pictures that I can't see on Facebook or Twitter.

It was a great decision and now I am happy that Cayce bought the tablet the Sunday before. He didn't say anything negative about it which made me a happy girl. I will definitely be using it when we travel and do fun homeschool things.

Next weekend, I hope to have a date night with Cayce and go to the drive in and see Divergent. I was wanting to go this weekend, but they are not showing it. I am patiently waiting for some teaser trailers or photos to pop up of Mockingjay part1... (that's another reason, to start instagramming)

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I have a lot of things planned for the girls today. I already have them in their green clothing. They look adorable. I'm not gonna put my Addy baby into an green because I wanna pinch her cheeks throughout the day. Yes, it's mean, I know but it's my kid and I'm going to do it anyways.

Prep. Curriculum: Week 19

The theme was boats and it was immediately "papa" week. My dad loves fishing and has 3 boats, and they get to sit in the boats almost everytime we go over there. So, needless to say this week was easy.

Monday:

PURPLE sail boat

Tuesday: I totally messed up lessons. This week was supposed to be a shape, but I did color by mistake. So she did the color Orange and we will do triangle next week.

Wednesday:
I had to calm her down on the top. She went a little crazy on it.

Thursday:

running out of room for stickers

Friday: I didn't have time to take pictures. But we read two books and did her workbook.

Lowe's Workshop: Birdhouse 3/8/14

Last Saturday, Samantha and Ariana built birdhouses in their workshop. They loved it. Cayce has to get some stain and paint and let them decorate them and get them ready for spring.

They have the most fun at these workshops. I can't wait for Addy to start going. The next workshop is next month and it's on the same day as my cousin's wedding. We are going to try to take them and be at the wedding on time.

Hunger Games OBSESSION!!!

OK, I started reading The Hunger Games in January. It took me a few weeks to get through the first book because I was super busy and didn't have time to read. But once I got to the good parts in the first book, holy hell, I flew through it. After I got done reading it, I sent Cayce to Wal-Mart to get me the second book.

The whole time I was reading the book, I felt like my eyes were going to pop out of my head and I tried so hard not to get a paper cut.. haha. I finished it in 2 days. Also, when he bought the 2nd book for me, he picked up the first movie. After the book was read and resting from my high speed page turning, the movie was in my DVD player and I was happily on the couch. I wanted to watch it over and over and over again. The only thing that sucks is that it didn't have deleted scenes.

A week before the 2nd movie came out, I sent Cayce back to Wal-Mart to get the 3rd book. I cried reading the parts about Peeta. I'm in love with Peeta's character in the books and movies. Josh Hutcherson was the perfect fit for the role and he made it come to life MORE!

When I got to the epilogue at the end, and it mentioned kids, I LOST IT! I immediately went online and found a website where fans right their own fiction on whatever they like. I found exactly what I was looking for plus some. There were all three books written in Peeta's POV, the wedding, BABIES!!!! I found music videos of clips with love songs and fell in LOVE with one video that plays to the song A Drop In The Ocean and at the end, it has words that made me cry like a baby.

The love story in the hunger games is better than twilight!!! If Peeta was a vampire, then it would TOTALLY BE DIFFERENT!!!!

But, I have to wait 8 months for Mockingjay part 1 to come to theaters, and even then, Peeta won't be in it that much. But, I have a theory that the first movie will end right when they rescue Peeta from the capitol. That's just my guess.
