Kindergarten Prep. Work: Week 4

We are still slowly working on these words. I will give Ariana and Adalyn more time to do this before they start Kindergarten and I will plan a whole lot more for this prep. work. Samantha remembers few words but not all of them. I plan on planning the first semester of her kindergarten in the two weeks after this prep work, and I am also going to get over to do some more work, so she is not going to have a break but it will be fun and gamey!

Father's Day= BORING

The title says it all. Cayce had to work double today since he took Saturday off completely for the workshop and the birthday party. I cleaned the house with the kids and we also worked on a little homemade gift for him. My dad came over to see us since we couldn't get out to go see him. The girls kept telling him Happy Father's Day, and hugging him.

I made a pork roast for dinner. He loved it and the girls did too. We surprised him when he walked into the door with his present. We had been saving his empty beer bottles and their case so I could start on his present. The girls got his favorite types of candy an we filled the empty bottles with the candies. We decorated the box and bottles with little superhero decorations.

Mikey is 3!

On Saturday, after Cayce and the girls got back from their Lowe's workshop, we headed to one of my best friend's parents house for a little birthday party. I have known Carl since middle school. He was the first friend I made on the first day. I was in 7th grade and he was in 8th. We had JROTC together in high school, and we were always called the bopsy twins because we were pretty much inseperable. He is my brother. The last time I seen him was in 2010 when I was pregnant with Ariana and Sammy was a baby. He took his uncle role very seriously and still does. He went off to war and got discharged and now suffers from PTSD. Saturday was the first time I have seen him in 4 years and I got to meet his family. The funny thing is, that right when he walked into my home, we acted like the past 4 years never happened and we went back to our old ways of cutting up an laughing. He loves the girls and they were happy to have another uncle.

Right when we got to his house, we got to eat. Samantha had hotdogs and Ariana had a hamburger. Addy had hotdogs and fruit, which Carl joked that Addy was definitely his niece because she was stuffing fruit in her mouth, and Carl was eating it right off the platter.

Her mouth was stuffed with big juicy strawberries.

After everyone got their cake, ice cream and brownies, all the kids and Carl, and Kim went outside to let the kids swim in the pool and play with water sprayers. It was so much fun. Cayce and I got soaked, and the girls LOVED it.

We had to restrain her from diving face first into the kiddie pool

The kids all had a great day, and was worn out after they got to build the craft. They have never volunteered to go to bed on their own. I NEED MORE DAYS LIKE THIS!!!!

Lowe's Workshop: Toothless!!

The girls had a workshop on Saturday and in honor of the new How to train your dragon movie, they decided to craft toothless. I LOVE TOOTHLESS! Cayce didn't get many pictures during the actual session because the trainer that was supposed to be helping them told them the wrong way to do it and ended up breaking and cracking the legs.

But they still have their own toothless and they made them on Saturday night after our exciting day. We also went to a birthday party for one of my best friend's son who turned 3. That will be posted later. Now picture time!

The patches.

Happy Father's Day

First off, I know I haven't been blogging as normally. I am so busy that I haven't gotten around to it and I think about doing a post every day. I am slowly getting back on track and I am constantly thinking about the upcoming school year for Samantha.

We are slowly working on her prep curriculum and that's not going the best way I want it to. Cayce has to work all day today which is a bummer, but he had all day off yesterday. We went to a birthday party and the girls got to go swimming, and they also went to a Lowe's workshop.

I will post more on those later. The girls and I are making a gift for Cayce. I found it online a couple months ago and loved it. I have a dentist appointment coming up on Tuesday that I am NOT looking forward to, because I know I want two extractions done.

Now time to go back to getting the house cleaned and dinner prepped for when Cayce comes home tonight.
