Kindergarten: Week 8

**WARNING** This post will be a picture overload! I went crazy with taking pictures this week, it was a lot of fun. We started our apple unit this week and I will be extending it to next week too.

we did these little packets all week. she had to read the number word, and color that many apples.

 

I found some printables of an apple tree and the letter a, and she had to use snap blocks to fill in the pictures.

I also decided to let her try out a play-doh game that we got last Christmas. It was fun.

She had a leaf hunt this week too. We walked around the front yard and picked up different types of leaves. I will be doing a post on the leaf hunt because there were a lot more.

Mondays Library Trip 9-29-14

On Monday, Cayce took Samantha to the library for some school time. She read some books and played and also made a few friends. The one friend she talked about most was a girl named Elizabeth. The little girl asked Sammy did she go to school and Sammy told her that she was homeschooled by her mommy and daddy and they kept on playing. I love that Sammy is proud to say that she does school at home. The little girls parents also didn't have anything negative to say, and that Sammy was very polite. Mommy Points!!!!!

Lowe's Workshop: Firetruck

The Girls had another fire truck workshop this year. This one had a ladder built on it. So, they will definitely come in handy when I do Samantha fire safety unit coming up in a few weeks. I think they will have their first aprons filled with patches so far. I finally got an iron and ironing board so I can put their hard earned patches on their aprons. We also got 2 more aprons for when they earn more. When I get the patches ironed on, I will post them. It will be a proud mommy moment for sure.
