Kindergarten: Week 22

22 weeks down, I don't know how many more to go...lol. She is doing so great. I thought I would be so burnt out and want to throw in the towel about now, but it is so much fun seeing her learn and to do things independently.

Monday:
We did the usual. The usual being morning work, puzzle and quiet time. The letter that we are working on this week is R. With that being said, we watched the movie Robots. This is the cutest movie I ever seen and it's funny.

Tuesday:
She worked on her own little color calendar today. I found this 2015 calendar packet on Enchanted Homeschooling Mom and I printed it and Samantha was naming off every month as she was coloring it and we have filled out the days and she is marking every day off. She also played a round of chutes and ladders with Ariana and Cayce and she won.

Wednesday:
Remember how Ariana was sick last week, Well, it hit Sammy and I and we were so miserable and bathroom occupied that we had to take the day off. It was horrible because everyone had been looking towards this day because it was going to be the 100th day of school.

Thursday:
It's the 100th day of school. 80 more days to go. This was such an accomplishment for Samantha, as well as me. I am so glad that we have made it this far.

Friday:
We started the day off reading the books that I wanted to read for the 100th day but didn't get around to it. And we did some of our workbook pages.

Saturday:
We had a Saturday school since we were sick on Wednesday. I am taking this schooling seriously, and she will do all 180 days of school required. But I tend to make some Saturday's fun days, with some games and music.

Ariana Letter Curriculum: Week 10

It's I week. The start of our week started with a pajama day for her. She wanted to stay in her comfy PJ's. I would later learn why she didn't want to change clothes the next day.

Monday:

she is usually happy to take pics with her finished work, but I should have paid more attention to her behavior.

Tuesday:
Starting the day off, her behavior was the same as the night before. She didn't want to play as much but was still demanding of doing school. it was after she finished her work and was time for supper, that everything went into a downward spiral.

Wednesday:
New Year's Eve. I gave the girls the day off, but the day wasn't as relaxed as I wanted it to be. Ariana started getting sick during breakfast. I should have known something was wrong when she didn't come wake me up with a "good mornin mama" and a smile. Instead I got a huff, pouty face and silence. So, she got to claim the couch as hers for the day and she kept getting sick and couldn't keep anything down. So, when we laid her down that night to go to sleep, we were hoping it was just a little day stomach bug, so when Cayce and I went into the room to give the girls their New Year's kisses, we were met with a vomit covered Ariana. We cleaned her up, and put her back to bed.

Thursday:
New Year's Day. No school.
That morning, we were met with more vomit. I was a little shaken because I wanted to know what was wrong with her. She didn't have anything else in her stomach to throw up. So we had another couch day and it was full of naps. She was falling asleep like nothing. I know her little body was exhausted. She did manage to eat a little bit of IHOP and didn't get sick until a few hours before bed time while we were taking down the Christmas tree. Once again, we put her to bed and checked on her again to find the most foul smelling vomit ever, and that's when I told Cayce to take her to the ER, that it couldn't wait until morning. So we got her washed, dressed and on the way. She got some nauseau medicine and was sent home to get plenty of sleep.

Friday:
She did some school and kept what she ate down all day, but she was nervous to eat anything because she didn't want to get sick.

Kindergarten: Week 21

Like last week, it was another 3 day week for the holidays. We did alot of fun things and watched a movie.

Monday:
She did her basics and she got to do shaving cream spelling with her daddy. She also got to draw with him some more and they took a library trip.

Tuesday:
We started the day off with watching Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. For her spelling, she used finger paint today. We also read aloud some New Year's books.

Friday:
I have learned that Samantha does not like to take days off during the week. She says it confuses her and I couldn't agree more. She gets her days mixed up and she messes up a lot on counting, but she still had a good day. The best part of her day was making her 2015 headband.

She got her first F on her spelling test. This made me so disappointed in myself, but I know we just have to work harder on it.

Girls Day 12-28-14

The girls were starting to get cabin fever because the weather has been raining or it has been TOO cold. Finally on Sunday, we got some nice weather that morning. So we went outside and played with bubbles and cranked up the radio and danced and sang at the top of our lungs.

This is the best one. This was the outfit she got for Christmas from granny and papa.

I didn't take any pictures of them blowing bubbles because I had to keep the tiny terror from tripping over daddy's bricks and drop cords and to not pass the building.

it started drizzling about 45 minutes later and we had to run inside because right when we got in, it started pouring. We then had lunch and Samantha wanted everyone to pile up in my bed (don't know how that happened) and wanted to watch Ghost Adventures. So, I popped some popcorn and allowed them in the bed, and put in Season 1 of Ghost Adventures. About halfway through, they were done sitting still and wanted to go run off the popcorn. Lesson learned to never serve popcorn to my kids again in my bed, I had to pick so many little pieces off my sheets, it was redonkulous.
