Kindergarten: Week 38

The last week of our first official homeschooling year!!! To say that it was easy would be an understatement. It was terrifying and exciting. I was terrified because I knew there was going to be a whole lot more to be done, and I was excited because we had completed a year of school with only a few breakdowns.

Monday: I decided to have a little movie in between work to just relax and say yes, and then we went right back to workbook work.

we were looking out the window at all the bugs and butterflies. We didn't go outside because our cat had a little baby snake in it's mouth a couple hours earlier and I didn't want my girls to walk in the tall grass and step on a snake.

looking pretty.

more domino math.

Tuesday: We spent the majority of the day at Target doing some grocery shopping and getting ready for our Cinco de Mayo supper.

Doing our shopping at Target because Cayce had to go and show us everything that he does and learned and his co-workers. SHOOT ME IN THE FACE NOW!!! I hated the whole trip.
holding the recipe up.

She also went to the library to get some Cinco de Mayo books, but they were all out. So we did workbooks and worksheets the rest of the day while our supper was in the slow cooker.

it was SOOOOOOOO delicious!!!

Wednesday: We had a normal day for school. We did puzzle and quiet time before our workbooks and we ended the day with read alouds.

coloring in her new Lego magazine that she got in the mail that day.

she loves this book and it's one of Cayce's favorites too because he is a Tom and Jerry fanatic.

Thursday: It's the second to the last day of school. We are super excited and started early this morning because we  wanted to get it done and over with. We did mostly read alouds and I found 2 games on my Tablet and she enjoyed those a lot.

she also built with her Legos. I think Lego are a great addition to any homeschool lesson.

Friday: LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!!
my gorgeous girl

she has filled her daily chart with 180 stickers for each day of school.

working on her packet that she did on the first day of school.

we got this in the box of books that we got from our pastor and she loved it. To end the day, we watched The Princess and the Frog.

Well, that's it. The 2014-2015 school year is now OVER!!!!!!

I am happy to announce that I will be continuing this homeschool journey again next year. This year was a total success and Samantha will be going into 1st grade and Ariana will be entering Kindergarten.

Ariana Letter Curriculum: Week 24

Since she is telling me the letters by herself and is showing no interest in the rest of the stuff, that all we are working on is the letters, music, and her workbook. I am also going to be cutting out the vowel weeks and give her an easy summer and start to pick back up around the middle of July with certain work to get her ready for Kindergarten.

Monday: She started the letter S. You will see Sammy in some pictures because she claims the letter S as her favorite letter, so she had to be nosey....lol.

The rest of the week, she did games and coloring instead of her workbook. She is starting to play and arrange the letter magnets on the refrigerator, and she brings letters to me daily.

Thursday: We got back to workbook pages today.
she dresses herself... I have no say

happy and proud girl

the look of concentration on this one is fierce!!!

Sunday: She finished her workbook pages for the letter S today.

Letter S is done and over with!

Kindergarten: Week 37

Next week, we will be done with Kindergarten. I am FREAKING out. I am so proud of both of us, but I am also SOO exhausted. I can't wait for the summer. But, onto what we did this week. I pretty much dedicated this whole week to workbooks.

Monday: We did the usual stuff. I decided to get her quiet time and puzzle time out of the way and then we did workbook and computer work the rest of the day. To reward her for being a good sport about all the computer work, we ended the day with watching The Lorax.

She is sooo pretty.

she loved all these Dr. Seuss games.

still writing these words.

Tuesday: It was a workbook and computer day all day. We had our fun during the year and now it's time to be bored and do boring work. BOOOOOO!!! Haha, it's the truth, but she enjoys it most of the time.

she loved this little video. I even have to admit it was kinda cute.

she got a little frustrated with this at the beginning but she eventually figured out the keyboard keys to use.

Wednesday: Basically the same as Tuesday. Didn't take many pictures because we wanted to get as much done as possible. I have pushed backed puzzle and quiet time to end the days the past couple days, and she enjoys that much more.

this is so messy and not neat, it is aggravating, but it works.

Thursday: Same as the past few days. I know, not much to say but it's what's happening.

dress was pretty, but way to big.

Friday: More workbooks and computer work, but she did have a week 14 re-do spelling test. That was the only thing different. Not many pictures.

she did so good.

Next week is our last week. I can't believe it. We are almost done with our first official year of homeschooling. She has her Graduation all set up for May 30th. We got her cap and gown thanks to Granny and Papa. Fixing to have a 1st grader on our hands people!!!!!!!

It's gonna be May

Hahaha, I had to share this song. I kept seeing GIFs on Tumblr and it was annoying because I have had that song stuck in my head for the past hour.

Anyways, HAPPY MAY! I know it is shocking to see a blog post from me, but April was a busy month for us. I have drafts that need to be edited and posted. I have so much piled up right now.

Cayce has worked a full month at Target and we are starting to get an routine going again. Samantha will be finishing Kindergarten next week. We have got her cap and gown and we have her registered for graduation. We will be signing up and registering Samantha for 1st grade and Ariana for Kindergarten the week after next.

I am going to be doing some kind of summer work with both of them to work on Sammy's reading and Ariana's writing.

Adalyn is doing so well in her speech therapy. She is talking more everyday and she listens a lot more now.

I will be working on my posts immediately once I get everything else done. Real life is so stressful and time consuming. When I am able to sit down at my computer, it's to read and answer emails, and facebook messages. So don't hate me..

Enjoy the video.
