Rearranging Samantha and Ariana's Room

On Tuesday, I started rearranging Sammy and Airy's room. I moved toys and Ariana's bed around, and her pink drawers. It gave more space to the room. On Wednesday, my internet was out all day and I couldn't focus on anything. I couldn't organize anything. All I did was wash clothes and put away some blankets.

Yesterday, I organized and transferred clothes. I took Sammy's small never worn clothes and passed those down to Ariana and same for Ariana's small never worn clothes. I got there shoes organized.

Their shared closet.

Now, their room looks a whole lot better. It took me about 2 years to get in there and really organize it.

AFTER PICTURES:

It looks like she doesn't have much room, but she is tiny.

They have some play space in front of the closet

The closet looks so much better now. I'm sure it will get funky looking again when I have to put their winter clothes up.

Cayce's Vacation

Cayce is taking his vacation this week. One of his co-workers is leaving at the end of the month, and he is one of the main people like Cayce, and so Cayce didn't want to leave his shift short staffed.

We have been doing a lot with the kids. Sammy started her 11th week of school yesterday. We got Ariana signed up for summer reading. We got their room rearranged. I finally got our skull family decals for the car yesterday, and Cayce put them on today.

But we have also had lots of downs too. My number 1 problem, hands down is the MOSQUITOES. I am fed up with them.  It has been raining for the past two weeks and we haven't been able to get into our pool. We had to drain it today. We have to cut our grass so we can take better care of our plants, and reduce the possibility of stepping on a snake, or large anthill.
With all this rain, it has stopped us from planning a trip to the Congaree National Park, because of the amount of mosquitos and the water levels are rising in the rivers. I can't plan our Kindermusik trip because the rain. I don't like taking the girls out in the rain.

I'm just doing the best I can to keep my sanity from the rain.

Letter Curriculum: Week 10

This week was the letter H. The thing she is doing now is saying the letter of the alphabet until we get to the one we are learning. It amazing to see her learn. On Monday, we had a good day. We completed our lesson in 40 minutes.

I think this is the easiest letter so far for her to be able to write on her own. When she writes it, she says 1--2--3. She really liked this week's bible story. I told her right at the beginning it was about a woman who wanted a baby, and she said "like Addy?"

Coloring her picture of Hannah

She is learning how to tell time. Most kids learn this in 1st or 2nd grade.

On Wednesday, we had a late lesson. It lasted almost an hour. She had her science lesson. We learned about hippos and a hibiscus. The funniest thing is that Sammy pronounces it "her-biscuits".

Working on her science.
On Thursday, we took the day off for Independence day. On Friday, we doubled up and we did her lessons right after lunch, since Cayce got off early.

I have to work with her on lowercase h's because she wants to make the hump come from the top instead of the middle.

Last Night's Cookout

The church that started the support group for the homeschool association gave a cookout and fireworks show last night. I stayed home with Adalyn because it was raining off and on and I didn't want her to get sick. Cayce took Sammy and Ariana and they had a blast. They left around 5:30 and didn't get back home till a little after 10:00. They were drenched and wore slap out. They made some friends and that's one of the things Cayce was worried about when homeschooling is in progress, that they wouldn't have any friends.

Eating their hotdogs after they got done playing.

They had some SERIOUS FUN in the bounce house and the place where they got wet from the rain.

One of their new friends. Don't know her name.

I can't wait for more events to take the kids too. I wish I could have went, but when Addy starts walking better and standing without falling, we'll be in the clear.

Mini Golf with Samantha and Ariana

No, this post is not about taking the girls to a mini golf park. About 3 weeks ago, we bought the girls a little golf set from the dollar store for two reasons.

1. Samantha has been begging to play golf. She seen it on one of her Disney shows.

2. It was the outdoor activity for last week's letter.

They love it. Sammy and Airy played in the living room with daddy. It's a great thing to have on these recent non stop rainy days.

Sammy kept wanting to cheat and put the ball in the hole with her hand.

She was hitting it the right way. I was very impressed.

I had to help Ariana and almost got smacked in the head a couple times by the club that she was holding. She is dangerous.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!!!

I'm so glad today is July 4th. Now that this holiday is here, the rest of the year will be flying by. The next celebration we will have is Ariana's 3rd birthday. We won't be having a party, but we are going to take her to the state fair. Cayce doesn't have to work today, so we are going to lounge around the house in our pajamas and do some chores, and get ready for the homeschool cookout. Tonight will be the first night that the girls will be seeing fireworks. I'm kind of nervous that they are going to get scared and not want to stay.

I have so much to get done. I will also be posting 2 more posts today. Sammy will have school today and have a July 4th lesson as well.

We have a start date for Ariana's prep. curriculum. It will be on October 14th. it will be after her birthday, so it works out perfectly. I will be back later and post some more.
