Happy March everyone. Hope that everyone has had a good first week of March. I know I have. I got a new routine going, and work and home life and reading are all going well. February flew by but it was an overall good month. The month did start off bad when I router decided to just quit on a Saturday. We had to wait until Monday afternoon for a technician to come out and fix it. So the whole weekend we pulled off my hubby's phone data and our car's wifi. Gotta love onstar!!!! Last weekend my two older girl finally did some cookie booths for the year and we have officially decided to pull them out of Girl Scout after May. All of the crap that we went through in December is nothing compared to what all we had to deal with this month. From shitty troop leaders to being accused of taking $14.00 from the cash box when it wasn't in our possession to just bad communication and wrong cookie orders and being told to just suck it up and give the wrong cookies out anyways. Other than girl scout drama, everything was peachy.
BOOKS READ IN FEBRUARY:
I read a total of 8 books in February. Not a lot and some were just not great. Had my first DNF of the year simply because the format of the ebook was horrendous and unreadable. It took me three weeks to read Anna Karenina and I was listening to it on audiobook and it was a snoozefest.

ReplyDeleteI have seen the movie version of anna karenina with kiera knightly and found that I had understood the reading and knew what was going to happen, so my enjoyment of the story went a little higher.

DeleteOMG—Anna Karenina! Oprah tried to get me to read that YEARS ago as part of her book club and it was awful. I almost never forgave her. Oprah, that is. :)

DeleteWe never did Girl Scouts but I would definitely leave with what you are describing. There’s enough negativity in the world without voluntarily being in a group that is full of it. Hope you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI have only read Anna Karenina, which I read years ago as a teen and really enjoyed actually, as many other classic Russian novels. I hope you have a great week
