Lowe's Workshop: Iron Man

Lowe's is starting the coolest series of workshops. They are doing The Avengers' for this summer. The first was Iron Man. That's my favorite avenger and I was happy that it was first. The girls enjoyed it. They really don't watch The Avengers Assemble much on Disney XD, but when they got back home, we watched all three Iron Man movies.

I loved these little headpieces for their goggles.

These are their friends that are at every workshop. The girls always offer to help them if they need it and vice versa, although the girls offer a lot more.

Ariana Letter Curriculum: Week 29

Another week down, 3 more to go. We only did a few days this week, that's nothing new.

Monday: We started the letter W.

just like Sammy, she LOVED this song.

daddy was being a MAJOR distraction

We missed Tuesday and Wednesday, and had another school day on Thursday.
it was pouring down rain outside so that why the lighting in this pic sucks.

i love this song

Well, we only did two days of school but she knew the letter and how to write it, so I wasn't bothered too much.

Weekend @ Granny's!

After the girls had their workshop on Saturday, They came home, grab their bags and went straight to granny and papa's house for a swimming weekend. My mom and dad bought them a pool to play in and they had some serious fun.

They got some tan lines that bring back memories. I used to get so burnt when I was little. Pool or beach, I would turn into a freaking lobster.

The funny thing is when they got back home, they were planning and asking which day could they go back. It was hilarious because they ran to the calendar and put their calendar reading skills to use...lol.

Home Depot Workshop: Trucks

So the girls went to their first Home depot workshop this morning. They had an absolute blast. They got to build trucks and they got to paint. That's what excited me. They don't get to paint in the Lowe's workshops. They had paint all over them when they came home, but they went straight to my parents house for the weekend so they took their trucks with them, so no pictures on those.

I love the pins they get for their aprons but the aprons themselves I HATE!! They are so flimsy and the material is something that I steer clear of.

I love my girls!!

Ariana Letter Curriculum: Week 28

I am calling this the home stretch. We are almost done with this hellish time with this curriculum. The year didn't go as I planned and it wasn't fun for Ariana.

On Tuesday, we started the letter V.

The reason this curriculum was so disappointing this year was that we missed days and that she also knew her letters so it was really boring for her. She didn't like the science or the social studies aspect of it early on because she couldn't say the words. I kind of figured those two subjects would be a problem, because Sammy had the same problem when she was doing this curriculum.

Thursday:

This was all that we did this week. A real disappointment, but she enjoyed doing her workbook.
