South Carolina Trips

I have made a list of cities and town for us to visit in our homestate. We want to travel South Carolina before heading out to the rest of the US. I have been to Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. Cayce has been to Georgia and he has been on a bus to Arizona.

I made a lists of 40 cities and towns. We will be going to the towns close to us first and then go to the towns that are upstate or in the lowcountry. Most of the towns have museums and attractions that are family friendly. I'm hoping to have all of our South Carolina trips completed by Christmas 2014.

I think a year and a half will be a good deadline. Tomorrow we will be heading to Lake Murray so we might go to some places in Lexington also.

Last Monday's Homeschool Workshop

Last Monday night, we went to a homeschool workshop that our homeschool association support group put together. Cayce told me the only way I could homeschool the girls is if we went to the functions that they put together. So, that's what we are doing.

Cayce had to leave work early for us to go. It was in Pelion at the church where the support group was created. We were 5 minutes late and we were the first ones there. My first impression was that they weren't serious and just blowing smoke up asses. But after we met the priest and his wife, we got to talking about everything. Only 3 more people showed up. I was kind of disappointed but I knew why other people didn't show up is because it conflicted with schedules.

We only had two main questions. Cayce had one about testing. He really wants to test them after each year to see if they are up to expectations and ready to move on to next grade. My question was can we go ahead and join the association this year or wait till Samantha turns 5. I can join this year, it's 25 dollars a family. So when Ariana and Adalyn start homeschooling, I won't have to pay extra. I think it's awesome.

The next function we are going to is the Annual Cookout they have every year. I can't wait. I'm hoping that there will be kids there for the girls to play with and make friends.

Doesn't Feel Like a Saturday

My mind keeps telling me it is not Saturday. Cayce had to work a mandatory shift today from 7:00am to 3:30pm. We got up around 5:00 to have breakfast together as a family. HE COOKED. I wasn't going to get up that early to cook. It was delicious. He cooked pancakes, eggs, and turkey bacon and he was gone by 6:30. So with 3 little kids fully energized with full tummies, they got to play in the living room, and I got back into bed and relaxed. I'm so not a morning person and 100% of the time when I wake up too early, I will be back in the bed within an hour and a half.

Around Cayce's lunch time, I had to get Ariana ready and her bag packed because she is spending the night with her granny and papa. I was happy to send her off and she ran out the door, but 10 minutes after she was gone, I started missing her. She has been eating everything in sight. She has her daddy's appetite and stomach, a bottomless pit. When Cayce got home, it was so hot inside and out, I wasn't going to cook the planned supper. I didn't want to use the stove/oven at all, so I sent him and Samantha to Little Ceasar's and we ate pizza and I made chocolate milkshakes.

I'm hoping that my mind and body will be back on schedule tomorrow because Sammy and Airy have another Lowe's workshop tomorrow afternoon and me and Addy are going to stay home and watch the Canadian Grand Prix.

My 1st Columbia Blowfish Game

I am a HUGE baseball fan. Before Cayce and I got together, baseball was my life. I wanted to become a sports journalist and work specifically for the Atlanta Braves. I could tell you anything and everything about the game, team history, players, coaches, etc. Last Friday, my mom called me up and said that she had 4 tickets to the Columbia Blowfish game. They play for the Coastal Plain League and somewhat like a minor league team. I said heck yes when she asked me if I wanted to go.

I have been going to major league games all my life and we always sat in the outfield. Now i like and dislike the outfield. I like it because you don't get a heart attack everytime a foul ball comes your way, and I don't like it is because you can't see the players asses...lol.

We took Samantha and Ariana with us, and Adalyn stayed with my mom and dad. It was so hot, and a breeze came through every 15-30 minutes. Ariana hated the heat and wanted me to hold her everytime. Samantha kept asking to go onto the field during the game because she wanted to play. It was so cute to see her ask. We sat right behind home plate and I got to see BUTTS!!! But had heart plapatations everytime a foul came our way or hit the net. The Blowfish won 6-1. It was amazing. Now picture time!

This picture was taken right after Cayce found his phone for the 2nd time. Yea he lost his phone, found it in the car, and then lost it again right when he got back from finding it the first time. I caled and called and then someone picked up and I bout cussed out the person but he grabbed my phone and went and picked his up.

Trying to get Ariana to smile. She is just like me. HATES THE HEAT

The mascot dancing to the cha cha slide

It was so funny.

She was happy for about 30 seconds in this pic and then started crying again

She was happy with the glove

Trying to keep her occupied.

I was so happy that we got to take Samantha and Ariana to their first baseball game. We will be going to many more.
