The first few pages of this book, I was cringing. I absolutely hate pre-teen narrated stories. It actually felt like I was listening to a 12 year old talk because it was so obnoxious. It was so very different from how the movie was portrayed and I hate that the movie didn't follow the plot whatsoever.
But, once I told myself to just finish it and not think about the age or obnoxiousness, it was really an enjoyable book and couldn't wait to read the 2nd book.
I am just hoping that the narrative is as obnoxious or hyper drive in the words and explanations.
So I recommend this book, but if you dislike pre-teen behavior, stay away.
