Review: This Is Where I Leave You

I have had this book on two buzzword TBR's and it's funny that I actually got around to this book the day after the most recent buzzword readathon ended. This is now my favorite book of the month. It was funny and flat out wrong. I know it is a movie and I went and found out which actors played which characters before I started reading so I can visualize them better and I am so glad I did. It made my reading experience so much better and I laughed loudly multiple times.

We follow Judd who just found out his wife has been cheating on him for a year with his BOSS! His father has passed away and to honor his father's wishes, he and his two brothers and sisters must observe shiva for seven days. The family is of Judaism and they cannot stand each other for too long. They have fist fights, sex multiple times, crying fits, arguments and just all out family chaos.

It was full of sexism and misogyny, but it also had heartbreaking and coming to light parts as well. I am hoping that the movie followed the book and didn't sway too far from the original story.
