Review: NOS4A2 by Joe Hill

Back in October, my mom lent me this book and I decided to read it this month. I have been wanting to read it for a while before the Locke & Key series. Both are by Joe Hill, who is Stephen King's son. This story is set in small towns in Northeast and Midwest America. We follow a woman named Vic and a monster named Charlie Manx. Charlie Manx is the creator of a place called Christmasland. Vic is the woman who puts him in jail for "kidnapping and sexual assault".

Going into this, I knew that it would be gross and gory and insane, but I was definitely shook a lot more than expecting. I wanted to put the book down when he talked about a cat that got run over and I immediately thought of all the cats in my mom's neighborhood and my own cat that loves to be outside. Also had nightmares about the dead kids and how they were in Christmasland.

I will be picking up more by Joe Hill. I loved how each chapter just flowed into one another and I was not bored or confused. The ending was great and a little sad but expected.
