This is going to be a short review since it is a small companion book in the Hogwarts Library collection. I wanted to read both of the books, this one and the screenplay, but my county library system doesn't have the screenplay.
This just talks about all the creatures in the Harry Potter universe and their rating on the danger scale. I loved all the notes written in the book by Harry, Ron and Hermione. It was a cute little read, and it's fun knowing all the origins of the creatures. Good job J.K. Rowling..... oops, I mean Newt Scamander!

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Review ***SPOILERS***
WARNING: If you have not yet read Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.... I suggest you go do so now and then come back to this review.
I got this book a day after it was released. Cayce bought it from Target and it came with a poster of Hogsmeade and Hogwarts. I was grinning ear to ear. If I wasn't already reading a different book that night, I would have sat my little happy ass down and read this book without stopping.
This story starts off where Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows stopped in the epilogue. Yes, it picks right up where it left off with Albus Severus Potter going to his first year at Hogwarts. He is going with his cousin Rose Granger Weasley. On the train, they meet Scorpius Malfoy who is outcasted and hated right away. I love Scorpius. He is my favorite character and so shy and awkward. He and Albus become best friends. Albus also gets sorted into Slytherin while his older brother and little sister are sorted into Gryffindor. He starts having an attitude problem towards Harry and they say words they don't mean.
But this story is not what you think it might be about. Scorpius is surrounded by rumors that he is not a true Malfoy and that he is Voldemort's son. WHHHAAATTT!!!!! Holy shit. This ties into the time turner disaster. During one of Albus' school breaks, Mr Diggory.... Cedric Diggory's father is still bitter about Harry being alive and Cedric dying during the triwizard tournamnt. Albus gets it in his head that he will go back in time with Scorpius and save Cedric Diggory's life.
This story is so crazy and good, I am going to stop because I have said enough. I loved how Professor Snape was back and fighting against Dolores Umbridge who was headmaster at Hogwarts and who was celebrating VOLDEMORT DAY! She was so against that he didn't return, that she is now celebrating him being in charge of the wizarding world. Dumbledore talks to Harry through paintings.
The one part that brought me to tears was where Harry went back in time to 1981 and basically couldn't interfere and had to stand aside and hear his parents pleading for his life and being murdered. I was not wanting that part in the book because it was so heartless and emotional.
I really want to go see the play in London. Hopefully, whenever I am able to go.. they will still be doing the show or it come to the states or become another movie.

Meet Luna!!!
We have a new member of the family. Her name is Luna. Cayce found her on the side of the road meowing her head off on July 21 and we became attached. We all love her and President Snow loves his new play buddy. Missy is the only one that is not comfortable yet.
We named her after Cayce's favorite Harry Potter character Luna Lovegood. He wanted to name her Katniss to mess around, but I said no. Her middle name is Trinket for Cayce's fave Hunger Games character.
She is a great addition and the last animal we will have for a while.

Skin Trade Review
A book where I now have a new ship in life. This is book 17 in the Anita Blake series and it was OK. I usually am all over the books that have Edward in them, but this one was just the same plot over and over.
The story starts off with a head. The head is from the body of a Las Vegas SWAT officer and it has been mailed to Anita from Vittorio, the master vampire who kills strippers and can control everybody in a hot second. We lean that she has been left a message at a crime scene in Vegas by Vittorio. She decides to go to Vegas and kill the bastard once and for all. She has been living with Jean-Claude under the circus after her trip with Jason, so it would show to the other masters, that Jean-Claude has a firm leash on his servant and this trip is going to blow all that hard work and showing off down the drain.
She gets to Vegas and is basically interrogated by the Vegas PD. They question her and ask about her sex life and throughout the whole story, she is basically having to prove herself and she is constantly saying the same thing over and over and it got old really quick. She then meets up with Edward, Olaf, and Bernardo. Here is where my new ship comes into play. Throughout the story, Edward and Anita have to pretend to be romantically involved to keep Olaf from being hounding Anita and harassing her. When Anita gets hurt, Edward is there by her side and gives her little kisses on the forehead or cheek every now and then and I now ship ANITA AND EDWARD. I know nothing will ever happen between this pair, she basically pushed him off the list if she needed to have an emergency feeding of the ardeur.
Anita also meets Max's wife, Bibi Chang who is head of the local white tiger clan and tries to mind fuck her into screwing the her powerful weretigers to make them even more powerful. Her son basically stops her and we get to find out that Anita gains two new tigers to call. A black tiger and a blue tiger.
The ending was very eventful and I got kind of creeped out by Truth the vampire because he was acting suspicious after feeding the arduer. This was a chunky book, but the chapters were short, which was alright. I really want something to happen between Anita and Edward!

One Last Time
Last month, all I heard about was the Broadway musical Hamilton. At first, I didn't think anything about it, but them I thought what the hell, just listen to the music. I AM SO GLAD I DID.
If you don't know what this is, it is a hip hop Broadway musical about Alexander Hamilton. It is amazing, and it's based off of a book written about Alexander Hamilton.
There are some songs that are my favorite, but this one is my #1. I just love it. Then my next favorite are the cabinet battles.
So if you haven't listened to Hamilton, I suggest you go to Spotify and listen to the whole album on there. I am just upset because I will never have the chance to actually see this musical. I think they are going to be doing this in San Francisco with a whole new cast. Maybe in the future, they will bring this back to Broadway with original cast and I can finally take a trip to NYC. Fingers are crossed

July Favorite Recipe: 7 Spice Teriyaki Chicken
Last month, we tried a McCormick Grill Mates for the first time and we loved these marinade packets. We had this over rice of course, and it was like eating a stir fry.
I took two chicken breasts and cut them into bite sized pieces and I also cut up a whole medium sized onion. I put it all in my white bowl and poured the marinade over the chicken and onion and mixed well. My mouth was watering because it was smelling so good. I placed tin foil over and stuck it in the refrigerator for a couple hours.
On the package it says a 30 minute marinade, but I kept it in there longer and I feel that it was more delicious that way.
After I took it out the fridge, I took a slotted spoon and scooped out the chicken and onions because I didn't want to put the excess marinade in the pan. This looks so delicious right now... #YUM
While the chicken and onions were starting to cook, I had to get the rice started. We love rice!
And here is the finished product. We also had green beans that I put on the side and the girls mixed it in with theirs and said it was even better. My kids might be food critics one day, they love any food I put in front of them.
This month we start back to school, so I may have a casserole or a slow cooker meal for ya'll next month.
