Library Haul #22

For this haul, I let Cayce pick out three books each for Sammy and Airy. I was going to send them to the library on Saturday but it was crappy weather. We got 6 books total and 2 DVD's.

1. NCIS: Season 2
Cayce is starting to get into it a little more.

2. Kung Fu Panda: Legend of Awesomeness
Cayce picked this movie out for the girls to watch

3. Old Macdonald Drives a Tractor

4. Max's Bunny Business
I remember reading Max books when I was a child

5. Love Waves
This is more like a valentine's day book.

6. One True Bear
This reminds me of the Courduroy bear. Did I spell that right???

7. Dogs on the Bed
I have a feeling that the girls like this book because we can't keep our cats off our beds

8. Wreck it Ralph
We have not seen this movie, so I am excited to read the book and possibly watch the movie soon.

Monday: No Freebies. Happy that I didn't have to walk out there to check... thanks babe.

Tuesday: I had the energy to go check the mail, and I had a huge pile waiting for me, and the 40 degree temperatures made my breathing hurt and the inside of me nose throb and hurt, but the amount of freebies I got was worth it.

School Week 23 Recap *UPDATED*

This week was hell for us. We were fighting viral infections and not wanting to do much of anything, but around the end of the week, we started getting our motivation back and doing more work and just piling it on. We will be making up Monday on Saturday. This will be posted on Friday and be updated with Saturday's recap right after the freebie haul is posted.

Monday: No School for us. We were sick with viral infections.

Tuesday: I was seriously thinking about cancelling school again but then I thought of doing school Saturday and Sunday and I was not going to do that, so I pushed through and I was an exhausted mess when Cayce got home from work that night. They did their morning work and quiet time and after that, we just watched the Magic School Bus.

Ariana's drawing

Sammy's drawing.

I kept it a relax day for them because they were still getting over their colds. After the movie, I had Sammy work on copywork and Ariana did handwriting.

Wednesday: Today was a little better. We didn't do much because we were still beat up but if was productive.  They did morning work, puzzle and I did quiet time with them because with getting sick, I fell way behind on reading. But anyways, after that Ariana did computer work the rest of the day while Sammy did more copywork and workbook pages.
I still love this little YouTube video

How our week is looking on paper

Ariana made her little school house.

she loves out touch screen computer more than I do.

Sammy working in her workbook.

Thursday: It was a good long day. We did morning work, chores and quiet time. They requested a game day, so they played dominoes and Hi Ho Cherry-O.

After the game, we read library books. I finally had a OK throat that wasn't so scratchy or dry and my voice wasn't raspy. But after I got through reading all of these books, my voice was completely gone.

So, we ended the day with watching another disc of Magic School Bus.

Friday: We had a busy busy day. There is not many pictures. So the usual work. They also had a breakfast break because I cooked breakfast and that is rare. They finished their chores after that and then they worked on puzzle while Cayce and I watched some more NCIS episodes before we have to take back the DVD tomorrow.

I wrote down some new addition facts for Samantha and she copied those down in her notebook, while Ariana did more handwriting. It was more of a workbook day. After Ariana got done with her workbooks, she ended her day with quiet time. Samantha finally had her computer day.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Saturday: We started very late because I totally forgot about it because I was relaxing with Cayce until he said something. We had a discussion on snow because *drum roll* we got some this morning.

It was more of a fun type day. They did morning work and chores. They also worked on their puzzle and they got a good chunk of it done.

They also did quiet time.

To end the day, they played with their new pack of play dough that they got for Christmas. I didn't take pictures because I was having fun playing with it myself.

Influenster: Jingle Voxbox

This is my second voxbox from Influenster. It is the Jingle Voxbox. I considered it a birthday/ Christmas present.

There are a few items that I am absolutely in love with. I love the Olaf Hallmark Itty Bitty, the Cetaphil handcream and the biscoff coffee cookies.

Along with those items, I also received some fake lashes with adhesive, coupon for free tater tots, pure ice nail polish in the shade Bikini, and an eyeliner.

I have several review posts on some of the products, so go check those out.

I am trying to finish this box as soon as I can. Influenster is such a great site and I hate that I waited a year after signing up to really start getting into the whole thing. Two boxes basically back to back was so much fun. I love giving my opinion, and the products are like presents. So go sign up today and while you wait, give your opinion on your favorite products and that is the best way for you to have a chance at getting picked for a voxbox.

There are also virtual vox's to do to help increase your chances.

Influenster: Ore-Ida Totchos Recipe

This post is about tater tots. I got a coupon for a free bag of tater tots. YUM!!! I had to pick a recipe to make using the tots. I didn't want to make a dinner, I wanted to make a breakfast meal. I used some substitutions that I had on hand instead of buying what was insisted.

Ingredients
  • 1 package (32 oz.) Ore-Ida® Tater Tots®
  • 1 package (8 oz.) fully cooked sausage patties (or 8 pieces)
  • 1 package (12 oz.) microwave ready bacon strips (or 12 pieces)
  • 1 Container (10 oz.) refrigerated nacho cheese dip
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 large eggs, beaten
  • chopped fresh parsley for garnish, optional
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Bake potatoes according to package instructions.
  2. Meanwhile, microwave sausage according to package instructions and cut each patty into 4 pieces. Microwave bacon according to package instructions and cut each slice into 1-1/2 inch pieces.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium low heat, combine the cheese dip and milk, and heat for 4 to 6 minutes, or until heated through, stirring frequently.
  4. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add eggs and cook for 2 to 4 minutes, or to desired doneness, stirring occasionally.
  5. Arrange Tater Tots® on serving plate. Pour cheese mixture on and spoon scrambled eggs over top.
  6. Sprinkle with sausage and bacon pieces. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
Once again, this cupon came from my Influenster jingle voxbox. The recipe came from Ore-Ida

Influenster: Kiss True Volume Lashes

Here is my second post on a product from my currents influenster voxbox. I will be having two more posts up this week featuring more products.

I received Kiss True Volume Lashes and Strip Lash Adhesive in my Jingle voxbox.

I have always wanted to try fake lashes, but never really had the chance to buy them. I am so excited to try them. They look easy to apply. I am kind of nervous. My eyelashes are so thin that I don't want the glue to show through, or somehow get into my eye. The lashes are made from 100% natural hair.... what does that mean. What kind of hair did it come from????

I am going to have to watch some youtube videos or get one of my besties to come by and give me a makeover. If I can do it myself, I will be updating this post with a picture.

If you guys can help me out in some way, leave a comment down below... thank you. I am not a makeup or beauty genius at all.
