Gracie's 6th Birthday

Gracie is one of my friends daughter. She just turned 6 on Friday and she came to Samantha's party, so we returned the favor and went to hers. We were late as we had errands all morning on Saturday. We got her a card and we got her a toy pony that she could draw and write on. Her jaw dropped and I knew she would love it. She got a bunch of presents and her party was hello kitty themed.
One of my best friends and I.

Opening her presents

Sammy was scared to let go of daddy's head

The handbands and glasses were party favors.

Getting ready to leave.

After we got to the party, we had cake and ice cream. We went outside and it was scorching hot. We watched people fly planes and pigs( cardboard cutout taped to a plane) and then everyone was getting ready to head down the road to where they were going to have the slime party. I had no knowledge of the slime and that I was to bring bathing suits. By this time, the girls were thirsty and burning up, with no naps. We left and headed straight to my mom's to pick up Addy.

Next year, we will definitely bring a cooler of water and bathing suits and have nothing planned the morning before.

Kitchen Decor Ideas

I have been thinking about decorating my kitchen for the past couple of weeks. Back in March, I went to family dollar and bought some coffee cup magnets and some fat Italian chef items. I got a fat Italian chef wall plaque, spoon rest, and sponge holder.

I was browsing on Amazon a couple months ago and I was looking at kitchen decorations and I wasn't liking their fat Italian chef collection, so I started looking at coffee décor, and I found 3 new wall plaques, dish and hand towels, oven mitts. I'm really thinking about doing that next year and getting another brown table cloth that had hot pink writing of all the different types of coffee there are. I can get that from Dollar General.

Planes Workshop

Yesterday was another workshop day. It was Dusty from the new movie Planes. The girls liked this one the most and they "flew" their planes all day every chance they got. We had a long day yesterday, so I will be posting more about it the next few days, but I'm staring with Planes.

Cayce got a kit for Addy and he made her a plane when they got home.
There instruction manuals. I kept both of them, one for a scrapbook and the other because it has a crossword puzzle on the back, and then the one out of Adalyn's kit.

The next workshop is another planes and it will be El Chupacabra.

Letter Curriculum: Week 14

This week, we did the letter K. She knew this one easy because of my name. I also have a K hanging up in my room that my dad made me. All of her lessons except yesterday lasted around 45 minutes. Yesterday's lesson was 30 minutes. It was cut short because we had a schedule to stick too.

She needs more work with writing the letter K.

We didn't do the math lesson this week because we don't weigh things in kg's. We did count to 20 though and I'm going to start working on counting to 40 with her.

Listening to her music

Fixing to read the poem and book

This was Tuesday's workbook page. She had to color the pictures whose name started with K.

Wednesday page.

We learned about kangaroos and koala's

Her bible story for the week was King Soloman and she is coloring a picture of the baby and King Soloman

Thursday's page. Look at those K's. Getting better.
Her social studies lesson was about kings.
Here is the plans for Friday's school. That board got so dirty from my orange marker.

She did so GREAT with the mazes. I'm really impressed.

Today's Plans

We have a lot planned out for us today.

1. Lowe's workshop
2. Pay car insurance
3. Stop by bath and body works
4. Stop by library and pick up/ drop off books
5. Gracie's 6th birthday party
6. Pelion Peanut festival

Cayce and the girls are at Lowe's right now and Cayce will be making stops at car insurance, bath and bodyworks, and the library. I will post in the coming day about the workshop, Gracie's party, and the peanut festival.

My next post will be my letter curriculum post.

Planning Ariana's Birthday

Ariana's 3rd birthday is coming up in October and I have less than 2 months to get everything planned and organized. We are not giving her a party this year because Sammy didn't have one for her 3rd birthday. The state fair will be in town during Ariana's birthday and Cayce and I thought that would be perfect for her day.

So far, her birthday is on a Thursday, so we won't be going to the fair till that weekend. I have to figure out what I'm going to make her for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I already have her presents picked out as stated in a few posts ago.

I'm thinking of buying her some jake and the neverland pirate cake toppers also and put on top of the cake I make her. I still have to figure out what kind of cake to make her and what type of frosting to do.

We already decided that Addy will stay with my parents when we take Ariana and Sammy to the fair because she won't be able to do anything.

It's kind of depressing that Cayce won't be able to take Ariana's birthday off from work, but we will make sure they have fun the morning of, before Cayce goes to work.
