We left the house around 11:20 yesterday and drove for an hour. We had to make two stops for some food. Ariana was not feeling her best yesterday and she kept complaining of a tummy ache. We had gatorades with us and we gave her a few chips.
We went to the Aiken Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame & Museum. They had a free kids event yesterday, but we got there a little late and that was over. So we ended up walking around, looking at trophies and horse stuff.
After we got through looking at the museum and playing in the kids area, we walked around Hopeland Gardens. It was absolutely GORGEOUS, and we took the opportunity to take some family photos.
We didn't stop at the festival for 2 reasons. 1. THE HEAT! And 2. Ariana was starting to get more and more whiney and when we got back to the car, her belly was as hard as a rock. She didn't want anything to drink or eat. We left Aiken and went to Waganer to Cayce's grandmother's house. We spent an hour there, just talking and sitting on the front porch enjoying watching the girls play and the somewhat breeze. On the way home, Adalyn passed out. it was a long day for her. We stopped and got some Chinese and subway for dinner.
We will be going back to Aiken soon to go to the state park. They have a swimming area and hopefully when it cools down just a little, we can go and enjoy the park.
Tired baby!!!
