Hope everyone is having a good fun weekend. To those who celebrate Halloween, what did ya'll dress up or what did you do, and those who don't celebrate I hope you all had an amazing, safe, and fun weekend. The past week has been full of long work days and school lessons with my kids. I read some good books. I finally read The Phantom of the Opera which is one of my favorite movies of all time. The book was so good and different that I didn't hate my reading experience. I am currently reading A Dowry of Blood and I am enjoying it so far. I am hoping to finish it later today so I can get one more book read or at least started from my spooky TBR. I am wanting to pick up The Walking Dead Descent or Home Before Dark.
This week I made a big purchase for our family that my husband has been eyeing at Walmart and honestly the deal was to goo to pass up. I bought a Pit Boss Memphis Ultimate 2.0. It was only $425.00 due to Rollback. We LOVE grilling and it is a good electric bill saver. We tried out the smoker yesterday and the meat was so delicious.
This weekend, my parents asked to have the girls spend the night so they could take them trunk or treating and when we got to my parent's house, my mom was dressed and ready to go and it was a sight. My mom loved the girls costumes this year and it may be the best year of dressing up.
I didn't blog much this week. The only post that was posted was my The Phantom of the Opera review.
I am hoping to up my blogging game this week since it is the end of October and the beginning of November which completely blows my mind.
November is a big month every year for us. We are a big Thanksgiving family so the weeks leading up to it we focus solely on that and it will also be 11th year we have lived in our house because the first meal we cooked was Thanksgiving Turkey. But then after the excitement of being homeowners that long, comes the renewal of home insurance and the home and property taxes. Along with planning Christmas.
Anyways I hope everyone has a good Halloween or Monday and get a lot of candy.

ReplyDeletethat Pit Master looks fantastic, and the girls in costume look great too.
the pit master is the best purchase i have made this year.
DeleteI used to love celebrating Halloween as a kid, but now I live in the country and never get any trick-or-treaters. I do miss that!
ReplyDeletei live in the country as well and no trick or treaters come this way.
DeleteI love Halloween. It's not a very big thing over here in the UK though. That grill looks amazing. And anything to save on the electricity bill!
ReplyDeleteThe Phantom of the Opera is one of my favourite stage shows.
Have a great week ahead!

i am expecting my electric bill to be way down this month with the amount of times we have used it so far. If i had parts to add to it so I could cook breakfast on their, my kitchen would become obsolete.
DeleteLove your kids costumes! The only think I have done for Halloween is to read a bunch of spooky middle grade this month as I hosted a readthon called Hallowtween. :) It was a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
