Last Day of School

Today was our last day of school. The whole week, I was excited and just ready to rest. Last night, I started doubting myself an wondering if they have learned what they need to know. This morning I was ready to get the day over with and at the end of the day, I didn't want to stop. It's just one big conundrum.

I won't go into detail about the rest of the week, just today's work. We started off with taking last day of school pictures. The signs are not the right color, because my printer is out of color ink. Ariana's sign was meant to be blue because that is her favorite color and it came out in pink and Samantha's was supposed to be hot pink, and it turned out red.

After their pictures and morning work, we cleaned out their work buckets that they keep their books and pencils in. Those buckets were absolutely filthy and a lot of undone papers and worksheets. That's what they did, for the majority of the day. Ariana worked in her old Little House workbook on her Red Book section and Samantha worked on crosswords, word searches, and other little puzzle sheets.

Last day of school

After Samantha got done with all her puzzle sheets, she did quiet time. Ariana started working in her new workbook the Kindergarten Scholar from SchoolZone. She will be working in that throughout the summer. Samantha finished her day with doing 7 wonders. Today was puzzle day for her. Ariana finished her day with quiet time.

It seems like this year went by so quickly. It seems like it was only yesterday that it was the end of the first day and Cayce brought me home pizza flavored Goldfish and then I went straight to sleep.

So that's the end of our 2nd year of homeschooling. Now time for a fun summer, and to get ready for 2nd grade for Samantha and 1st grade for Ariana. I will also be starting Adalyn's schooling this summer.
