Letter Curriculum: Week 3

This week went by quicker than last, probably because I had a routine down and didn't take as much time to get everything set up. Every day we made the lesson last from 45 minutes to an hour and a half. She did great this week.
She had more theme words this week. The composer for this week was Beethoven. She does really good with classical music. It has me thinking that I should get her started on piano or musical instrument lessons.
Holding her Beethoven flashcard. She learned about blue birds, buttercups, and bakeries for her science and social studies lessons. For math, I told her a number and she had to tell me the number that came before that one. We read the story The Tower Of Babel, and she colored a picture of a tower and built a tower from jenga blocks on Friday morning.

I got this workbook from Walmart and I'm in love with it. I have her do a page everyday on the letter for the week. I have another workbook for her to work in on the review weeks and the other also has math lessons in it.
This board is my lifesaver. I wish I had this when we were doing the prep curriculum. Everyday, this board is filled and when all the words are gone, Sammy knows that the school day is over. We had a field trip today and that will be another blog post.
